The US has 17 years worth of combat veterans, not just veterans who received military training but veterans who received military training and have experience in putting it to use, walking the streets. Having put said experience to use not only solidifies the muscle memory involved in implementing tactics but also provides something that can not be trained, what things work in what situations and what things sound good on paper but do not work when put to practice.
And, the vast majority of those combat veterans are entirely disgruntled, and a significant portion of them are red pilled to varying degrees.
