I'm a professor that teaches upper mathematics (calc 1-3, differential equations), and computer science (intro to 3). I also teach some humanities garbage.
To get it started off:
Sort of, the reason a lot of people come out of college different than they went in is due to the social atmosphere (usually liberal) on campus and the actions of their professors and their lesson plans.
Let me give you an example from my class. If you were to enroll in one of my classes about human rights and atrocities you would learn about the ideas of ethical viewing and ethical photography. In short, if you cannot minimize the suffering of the people you are looking at, or minimally empathize with their suffering then you are viewing that image unethically, or seeing that situation unethically. This allows students an introduction into the class and starts them on the path of seeing everyone but their group as a victim that needs helped.
We only continue to build onto these theories and teachings. Once they hear the initial lesson enough and once it's built upon it becomes fact in their minds because most students are unable or unwilling to refute it (there is a false dichotomy set up where if you refute these ideas you think it's okay to stare at people suffering, or if you have one of my colleagues, you support the Holocaust)
