But they have done the same thing as Germany and Japan, specifically pursuing nuclear research and nuclear energy in such a way that they could produce a warhead quickly if they wanted to. Some kike source claims they could have a warhead in 2 months if they turned all their reactors to producing weapon grade uranium, but from my understanding of Japan's program it's probably more like 6 months to a year.

The question I never see asked is even if Iran has nuclear weapons, why is that bad? If we are to believe Israel they have had nuclear weapons for years, any yet Israel is still not a pile of smoldering dust. I can't find the list of times Israel has cried wolf about Iranian missiles. Back in the late 70s they were whinging about the Iranians being on the verge of obtaining a nuke. Meanwhile, Israel has between 70-400 of them, leaning towards the high end, and is the only nuke possessing non signatory nation to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
