Just read this article as an admission of what the authors own worldview looks like to an outsider and it makes sense. It's just one long winded diatribe projecting his actions onto others - then demanding he not be held to a similar standard, well not so much demanding as pretending the possibility is nonexistent.
These people have completely dehumanized you in their worldview, rationalized and justified violence against you and then have the audacity to claim it's all okay because theoretically you'd do it to them. And the fact that the mindset between extremists is very similar no matter what their worldview is - is the first harbinger of a coming civil conflict.
