This sort of crowd sourced SIGINT is fun to participate in but you have to realize that the institutions that are asking for help from the public only do so as a public relations exercise. They don't want it and will discourage any real participation or work. I'm surprised they even bothered responding on Twitter, that probably won't happen again.
There's a long history of internet detective communities that learned this lesson the hard way, in the case of the Boston bombing false flag event they actually had to hold a press conference telling people to stop investigating while they planted false info implicating innocent people so the mainstream media could help discourage that behavior.

I think they do this shit more so they can rely on Zig Forums, Zig Forums, /v/, and Zig Forums to find the holes in their operations for them. In the early days actual pedos got caught a couple of times, then twitter became a thing and call for help became nothing more than "a thing PR representative HAS to do as part of pretending the police and the plebs can rely on each other".
The only couple of times recently I saw an actual response of the gov' was the Russian airforce taking bombing targeting coordinates from /sg/, but I will chalk it up as having run out of things to bomb or taking any excuse to rack up some bombing miles.
