How will they recover? This just gave them the excuse they've been waiting for to let those poor endagered migrants into America.

Knew this was coming. The cartels are all about business first and these "caravans" threaten their ways to continue funneling drugs in so they don't want these peasants interrupting that and bringing attention to the border or their ways to smuggle things in.
Mexicans, central Americans and South Americans have a long history of animosity and not wanting to share the US gold mine for drugs so any/all impediments to that will mean death. I would not be surprised if cartels literally didn't start killing entire groups. They don't fuck around.
And piss off the Mexican (soon to be) majority? They'll never win an election ever again. This also functions as further proof against the delusional liberal rainbow mutt utopia of diversity and strength.
