I understand the want for gender neutral clothes for babies. I opted out of finding the gender of my baby until birth so me and a lot of my friends had a hard time finding clothes that were just, white or red. Everything is gendered when it comes to baby clothes. I would have loved an all black set of clothes for my baby, because that's metal, but I don't want shit with creepy stars and crosses on it. They're using a very valid product idea and fucking it up.
I ended up buying a lot of sailor and pirate themed clothes because even if it was a girl she should be fine with those.

Traditional male clothing/fashion is based off military clothing. From jackets to boots and even shirts, they're all military inspired. That isn't modern either. European men's style has traditionally been military. Even in ancient Greece this was the case. Aristotle considered it proper for men of fighting age to dress and appear military in a sense because it best suits a young man as his nature and one of his natural roles is that of the defender of his tribe. Anything other than a fighting look is feminine. You don't have to dress like a soldier but you should look like you could kill people if you had to do so.
