"Suppressive" fire is what soldiers whom don't know what they are doing do when combat starts and they don't have a clue where the enemy is. This is how it is the vast majority of the time. Suppressing fire is more often than not nothing more than what niggers do with AK's, doesn't matter if they have a couple months of shit training and a uniform, its the same. In the hills of Afghanistan the full auto shots were used for two reasons, the heavier rounds could hit out at range, or suppressing fire used in overwatch of bounding moves in a squad.
Many soldiers will also shoot in an general direction they see other soldiers shooting as well since in most firefights only one or two soldiers have a clue where the engagment is at first until communication about the engagement spreads out among the unit. The less combat experience they have, the more they do this.
If you do any of this as an fighter against the system you are going to fucking die. Period. It will give you nigger confidence in an fight and be a death sentence against an experienced unit of soldiers, tho might work a few times against green troops sent to just find you. If you ever lay down full auto without having at least compiled an company sized element of front line fighters supported by far more than that logistically you are killing yourself. Maybe desperate situations in which you are already dead you can flip full auto and go out in a blaze, but thats some other issue not relevant.

What I am arguing against is the assumption you will have either the manpower, opportunity or capacity to do it. You cannot count on having superiority that is typically assumed in what most soldiers are trained in. You as lone user, or as part of an small group, fuck unit, that emplies dozens of people, you might be lucky to be huffing it with 3 other men user in the environment you may face in any western nation. And you cannot pull off the same operations and plans that an fire team might try without risking needlessly your lives and mission. Kinetics domestically are going to be an marathon user, not an sprint. Its the fucking system that can afford to lose dozens of soldiers wasting time, lives, equipment and ammunition. Not you personally, you only got yourself and what you have on you.
Also, suppressing fire doesn't work as well in urban environments. Cover is everywhere and is a bitch. It can work, but not nearly as well as out in the open foothills and valleys of certain places.
