One night the kids broke out of their barrack and took a mattress with them as they crawled out the window. They could be quite industrious if they were engaged in some kind of criminal activity, otherwise, not so much.
They toted the mattess with them and put it on the roof of the school where they all hunkered down to enjoy the summer night.
