When the moon is full the sun is on the side facing us and then it moves to the other side of the moon as the phases of the moon change.
So when the moon is black to us the dark side will be bright.

It is late I am tired when you see only a thin crescent of the moon on the earth if you were on the "dark side" it would be full minus the thin crescent.
The sun is a long way off the moon orbits the earth and yes there are times outside of the eclipse every month the dark side of the moon is bright but you cant see it from the earths perspective.
