Let's have a discussion about tattoos

Something that irritates me about Zig Forums and other places where right-wingers gather on the internet is the disgust many people show towards tattoos, especially on women.
Okay, I get that some of you are christians and / or traditional conservatives and YES, there is obviously a correlation between tattooed skin and degeneracy.
On the other hand we have certain subcultures which have a huge amount of nationalists and where tattoos are completely normal: Skinheads, the Black Metal scene, football hooligans. Subcultures that often have that amount of manliness the mainstream society lacks.

Besides that, many of us talk about a return to ancient traditions and the morals and values of a time before Christianity and Islam, so in my opinion we should reconsider our opinion about tattoos, since our ancestors probably had tattoos (Ötzi is an example) and there are still cultures out there who are less tainted by Christianity and its ban on many ancient traditions.
I'm not talking about the mainstream slut / subhuman / hipster culture behind it of course, but about a more traditional and honourable approach.
Tattoos as a kind of devotion towards our beliefs (be it political, spiritual or both at the same time since this is often the same) and as an visual expression of an initiation process which may be executed by a small like-minded community or by the individual itself.

Let's have a discussion about this topic.

No one cares, degenerate. Sage.

Oh, I forgot about this sentence. I just wanted to point out that we still have cultures out there who practise their ancient initiation rituals which involve tattoos.

Don't care.

Well, many people here obviously care about this topic. I saw postings about tattoos in many threads and they were all very negative towards tattooed people, no matter what kind of tattoos they have.

I'd rather fuck girls

lets not

Imagine having such low opinion of yourself that you literally scribble on it like a schoolboy lmao

Do you sink your gays into a bog and smash up Churches for loot with an axe?

No identifying markers for purposes of surveillance. That is my utilitarian refusal.
Furthermore, it no longer serves as an initiation ritual only, when soldiers, made men, and IDU users had them exclusive, merit remained, no longer.

Reconcile the contradiction or admit tattoos have nothing to do with masculinity. Maybe actual battle scars are, but those aren't designed and not very cultural.

That's the problem we have with initiation in general. We lack a community that provides those rites and rituals.
In the modern time a man may do this by himself.

I go to a powerlifting gym and I swear I am only nudeskin. I'm not going into peer pressure however for people who are already pinning, it's not another transgression and for those who aren't it doesn't hold that cachet. It is correct fraternity has been starved out of societ.

In a day where everyone has tattoos one may find it sensible to remain untattooed.

I agree, but if you look at subcultures that celebrate manliness, you see (besides the drinking and the fighting) many tattoos.
Of course you have the typical soyboy covered in ink too.

This sounds very christian to me and I don't agree.
I don't see it as a defilement to do permanent marks on the skin as a sign of initiation and / or devotion - Be it tattoos, scars or brandings.
I don't think that modifying your body in some way is a problem since we do this all the time - We change our bodies when we work out, we change our brains when we let useful propaganda sink in. Some of us even use some kind of "brainwashing" on purpose to overcome phobias or addictions.

I don't trust people with tattoos. Degenerates with short-sighted poor judgement.

Didn't mean to reply to this post

I see people like that all the time.
For some reason it is a trend here in Germany to have a tattoo like in the picture on the neck or even the face.
I'm not talking about things like that.

They're just useful idiots for kikes though, they actually believe that the holocaust was real for instance.

Tattoos ARE not a pagan tradition.

Odin, Thor, Tyr didn't have tattoos.

Correct, tattoos were normally used as marks of slavery if we look back to ancient Greece, not marks of heroism or some other nonsense.

I dont have any, tempting in some occasions but not actually desired.

And what do you say about the Ötzi?

Are we talking about the gods or about humans?

Who talks about the Greek? If we go this far, we can also talk about other non-germanic tribes who used tattoos for more honourable purposes.

Wanted to answer to this posting:

I tend to not care about petty tribes, if they didn't build a true civilization with major works they aren't worth caring about in my eyes.

This is very thought provoking

retard

If you truly believe that every tattooed person out there is a porn actor or a heroin addict, then you are the retard.

The majority are commoners mirroring their pop idols, musicians, fighters, comedians. It's forever cosplay for all but a shard of population.

This is true and I'm disgusted by their "culture" when it comes to tattoos just as I am when it comes to their taste in music and art or their political thoughts.
I am trying to start a discussion about nationalists who are truly völkisch but also have tattoos.

That context is not reproducible presently. We all watched American history x.

Being "truly völkisch" isn't like an indulgence you can cash in to justify engaging in degenerate behavior. You can't name anything good about them. This brand of "express myself" narcissism is a character flaw, beyond the short sightedness of the permanence of it, and beyond the wastefulness of how expensive they are. It demonstrates on multiple levels that the individual isn't thinking about the bigger picture.

I've never met an intelligent person with a tattoo. Some of them can be professionally successful because careers are not that difficult, but as far as any kind of philosophical or political or cultural or racial awareness they suffer because the same limitation in scope that makes them focus on something petty and small like getting a tattoo is the same limitation that keeps them from awakening and enlightenment.

it's a way to remain invisible to be a cleanskin, user. By the same token it's becoming a standout look in a sea of soy boy faggots getting inked.

Not to mention that having tattoos doesn't make your beliefs any more or less real. In fact I'm now seeing people with tattoos as being the exact opposite of whatever they have. Like a thot with a Jesus chain being a raging slut.
