What I recommend you do if yer stuck in psych ward like I was Is get a relative to drop you off some cheap suitjackets and button up shirts and wear those constantly while being as mild mannered as possible. Just act like you accept it, if you rave against it they'll think your insane. Just be calm and wait to be classified level two so you can wear clothes and go on smoke breaks. Take up a smoking habit, and befriend the inmates and nurses and help with the difficult cases. Hang with them as much as possible, and then you'll get released. If yer a neet on neetbucks you'll continue to collect and have a nice nest egg when you get out.

The first school of psychology was structuralism, which was pretty much a bunch of tests on people to see how they acted towards objects. This was dropped for functionalism, which looked more into HOW the mind functioned, and how it acts. Gestalt psychology was championed by Wertheimer, who looked into how individual aspects of actions acted as a whole.
Psychology also has various aspects of it, such as neuroscience, cognitive, behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic. Personally, for me, humanistic psychology is my favored branch since it seems to have retained free will, and the idea of spiritual healing. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
Sigmund Freud invented *psychoanalysis* which was a school of philosophy/psychology that dealt with the unconscious. These days, it's mostly been dropped by psychology. I mean seriously, who in their right mind would you let Jacques Lacan treat someone sick? Psychoanalysis has either been absorbed into the psychodynamic approach to psychology or is a school of philosophy for people like Zizek to talk about.
Really, psychology is a field that can vary in bias. Its had a dark history though, just look at the use of it by Edward Bernays and Anna Freud. The biggest worry I have about psychology is that it the field of "social neuroscience" is set to be the next frontier of it. Imagine the shit, including subversive garbage being studied so that they can do all sorts of psychological tricks to cuck people even more.

I was homeless and suicidal last year. I didn't want to kill myself, but I didn't see any other way out. So, I called the psych ward and checked myself in.
They held me for 72 hours. During that time, I heard constant jokes from the staff referring to the patients as "crazies" and whatnot. This one gimpy-armed faggot nurse made a joke that one of the patients may be drowning themselves in the shower, and I lost my temper. I shoulder checked him when he was walking by me. He said "If you do that again, you're going down," and I said "By who, you? You gimpy cunt?" That was enough to get the attention of the other nurses. I said loudly, to a big, buff nigger nurse that was staring at me in surprise, "I didn't like that joke he made about patients drowning themselves in the shower." The gimpy cunt backed down, and said "Okay, now we're even," and that was the end of it. All the other mindless employees stared on in shock for a minute before returning to normal programming.
They kept making jokes like that, within hearing of the patients. I didn't speak up again, but holy shit did I want to burn that place down.
