I know there has to be someone well versed in this subject. A comprehensive subject list/list of books would be much appreciated.

There isn't much (any?) written by the Celts, but you can use Roman sources for good information (albeit biased) about some of them. Tacitus and Caesar's Gallic wars provide some interesting information. Herodotus is also a comfy read if you want ancient Greek history.
