Even though I am white, I personally take the position of open borders and I like political correctness also. This is because it angers and triggers the white nationalist/alt-right people.
I am not doing it because I technically support it ideologically, I just get a kick out of seeing the alt-right kids get pissed off. I in fact would enjoy seeing the white race being wiped out just to piss off and trigger these alt-right kids more.
So don't think all of us do it for the same reasons, we all have difference reasons and it's very nuanced.
