I have been thinking what is needed is a video of someone making an explosive. There is a lot of fear about doing this wrong, or worse, following an intentionally botched bomb recipe, and accidentally blowing yourself up. To alleviate the fear, watching someone actually explaining what to do, while they do it, would go a long way to helping people actually make these things.
I've also thought a computer game where you have to make an explosive and not blow yourself up would be pretty good too, the more realistic the better. It wouldn't be as good as a video of someone doing it, but it could be almost as good, and surely would be quite fun to play.
