You should bother reading the Codex Fascismo series of books, third positionism was created by Giovanni Gentile and Benito Mussolini in studying the history of Spartan Tyrants and Roman Empire and applying those ideas to the modern society. Every nation would apply fascism a bit differently for the subtleties of their nation and that's exactly what Hitler did with Germany.

Fascism is corporate syndicalism, rising out of the trade union system. Essentially, fascism = FDR new deal and lots of alphabet soup agencies, but where each agency is composed of all relevant parties in that field - organizations, businesses, individuals, etc. You can read mussolini's own treatise on it.

While many ideologies make the most important thing in their country an abstract concept, (such as freedom, equality, and the state in the cases of capitalism, communism, and fascism) National Socialism makes the people and their prosperity the most important thing for the country. All actions taken are for the sake, survival, and well being of the people. While other governments may have had some semblence of this idea, it was never the sole purpose of government. That's what I personally love about it. You have the state looking out for your interests and tons of people you share kinship with purely for sharing the same blood. It's like a large family.

For spirituality look into Rosenberg's Myth of the 20th Century, as well as writing by Martin Bormann and Himmler.

For economy read Gottfried Feder's work Manifesto for the Abolition of Interest Slavery.

There are also rarer books that you'll really struggle to find, such as Walter Darre's environmentalist works.

This guy gets it. National socialism is a weltanshauung, not a political ideology (as Hitler stated in Mein Kampf). It is not a set of dos and don'ts, but it is a way of looking at the world. Any sort of mundane procedure of the day-to-day essentially boils to doing what works, when it works.

National socialism and fascism are fundamentally the same thing, but national socialism was executed better and deeper. So in a sense, i wholly agree with Goebbels, but the fundamental philosophy of the two is identical and not only was Mussolini inspired by Hitler, but Hitler was first inspired by Mussolini. I do think that Fascism ended up being superficial in the end though. It should also be noted that the expression of national socialism would have a different expression for each race that expressed it.
