The Happening: Plague edition

Last May, an elderly man was admitted to the Brooklyn branch of Mount Sinai Hospital for abdominal surgery. A blood test revealed that he was infected with a newly discovered germ as deadly as it was mysterious. Doctors swiftly isolated him in the intensive care unit.

The germ, a fungus called Candida auris, preys on people with weakened immune systems, and it is quietly spreading across the globe. Over the last five years, it has hit a neonatal unit in Venezuela, swept through a hospital in Spain, forced a prestigious British medical center to shut down its intensive care unit, and taken root in India, Pakistan and South Africa.

Recently C. auris reached New York, New Jersey and Illinois, leading the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to add it to a list of germs deemed “urgent threats.”

“Everything was positive — the walls, the bed, the doors, the curtains, the phones, the sink, the whiteboard, the poles, the pump,” said Dr. Scott Lorin, the hospital’s president. “The mattress, the bed rails, the canister holes, the window shades, the ceiling, everything in the room was positive.”

C. auris is so tenacious, in part, because it is impervious to major antifungal medications, making it a new example of one of the world’s most intractable health threats: the rise of drug-resistant infections.

For decades, public health experts have warned that the overuse of antibiotics was reducing the effectiveness of drugs that have lengthened life spans by curing bacterial infections once commonly fatal. But lately, there has been an explosion of resistant fungi as well, adding a new and frightening dimension to a phenomenon that is undermining a pillar of modern medicine.

Please tell me it was an elderly nignog. I feel like seeing white people dying of a disease will make me go insane. It would be a giant cosmic circus. Clownworld with a grand finish.

just posting to counter your sage faggot

Proofs?

Sounds like it's coming from a lot of middle eastern shitholes.
You can expect more incurable med resistant diseases, parasites, and fungi if we keep letting the 3rd world scum slip in.

Candida is old. Its a fucking yeast infection. Candida auris is the new shit that is resistant to previous treatments. It's the culmination of hand sanitizer and immigration.

One needs to look no further than situations like this to see why a White ethnostate is essential to our survival.

Yeah, let's not talk about those monkey and mud people bringing it in. Fuckers are trying to claim it's always existed in the soil. Bullshit, the first victims were all non-White and came from monkey countries.

...

WHY CAN'T YOU POLTARDS POST A FUCKING LINK TO AN ARTICLE?

What a PC pussy you are

A while back Aussie radio had a panel discussion of doctors discussing antibiotic resistant bugs. At several points they explicitly say they're already a thing in the third world and specifically India.
All the patients arriving in Australuan ERs with superbugs have been subcontinental immigrants.
Equipment and qualified professionals exist, but nevertheless there are procedures that you cannot get in major Indian cities, because there would simply be no way to control infection.

Candida auris is one thing. Imagine one tailored just for them, Candida kikeis. Don't think it can't be done.

The good news is, that at the rate fungus and bacteria breed it will only take a decade of brown people being extinct and then our anti-fungal medicines will all work again. Amazing.

Abstract
Marine organisms including bacteria, fungi, algae, sponges, echinoderms, mollusks, and cephalochordates produce a variety of products with antifungal activity including bacterial chitinases, lipopeptides, and lactones; fungal (-)-sclerotiorin and peptaibols, purpurides B and C, berkedrimane B and purpuride; algal gambieric acids A and B, phlorotannins; 3,5-dibromo-2-(3,5-dibromo-2-methoxyphenoxy)phenol, spongistatin 1, eurysterols A and B, nortetillapyrone, bromotyrosine alkaloids, bis-indole alkaloid, ageloxime B and (-)-ageloxime D, haliscosamine, hamigeran G, hippolachnin A from sponges; echinoderm triterpene glycosides and alkene sulfates; molluscan kahalalide F and a 1485-Da peptide with a sequence SRSELIVHQR; and cepalochordate chitotriosidase and a 5026.9-Da antifungal peptide. The antiviral compounds from marine organisms include bacterial polysaccharide and furan-2-yl acetate; fungal macrolide, purpurester A, purpurquinone B, isoindolone derivatives, alterporriol Q, tetrahydroaltersolanol C and asperterrestide A, algal diterpenes, xylogalactofucan, alginic acid, glycolipid sulfoquinovosyldiacylglycerol, sulfated polysaccharide p-KG03, meroditerpenoids, methyl ester derivative of vatomaric acid, lectins, polysaccharides, tannins, cnidarian zoanthoxanthin alkaloids, norditerpenoid and capilloquinol; crustacean antilipopolysaccharide factors, molluscan hemocyanin; echinoderm triterpenoid glycosides; tunicate didemnin B, tamandarins A and B and; tilapia hepcidin 1-5 (TH 1-5), seabream SauMx1, SauMx2, and SauMx3, and orange-spotted grouper β-defensin. Although the mechanisms of antifungal and antiviral activities of only some of the aforementioned compounds have been elucidated, the possibility to use those known to have distinctly different mechanisms, good bioavailability, and minimal toxicity in combination therapy remains to be investigated. It is also worthwhile to test the marine antimicrobials for possible synergism with existing drugs. The prospects of employing them in clinical practice are promising in view of the wealth of these compounds from marine organisms. The compounds may also be used in agriculture and the food industry.

Can't you just call it the Jew York Times? Thank you.

>CDC found that isolates within each region are quite similar to one another, but are relatively different across regions. These differences suggest that C. auris has emerged independently in multiple regions at roughly the same time.
What? How is that possible? It's either manufactured or God's preparing for a Bubonic plague.

Sounds like what said was right. It's mainly from hospitals in Asian (see: Middle Eastern, China and India) and African countries, meaning it's possible the thing sprang up via some tainted supply of antibiotics and they treated it from more antibiotics and more and more until the fungus grew resistant to all of whatever the countries could throw at it:

So we don't know if it's airborne. We don't know if it's via liquids. We don't know if it produces spores. We don't know if it's by simple contact or by long-term exposure. But we DO know foreigners are to blame, specifically brown peoples and Chinamen.
Gotcha.
And what do we do if we're worried we might have it?
>CDC recommends that anyone who believes they have any fungal infection or healthcare-associated infection see a healthcare provider.
If you've got the death fungus then go SEE A DOCTOR.
BRILLIANT ADVICE
The CDC everybody!

I'm glad anons aren't as retarded as they used to be because this thread would otherwise be filled with idiots proclaiming this to be the work of mass meme magic from everyone playing plague inc.

THANKS NIGGERS!

It's likely the result of fungicides being used on farms, the long term ramifications of forcing evolutionary resistances are irrelevant as long as the farmer makes their pay nut for that crop.

We need a new fungi chan meme.

Draw it as a cute anime girl and then we'll talk

PLEASE READ IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE BIRTHRATES

Healthy pregnant women and infants are routinely given unnecessary antibiotics in hospitals.

Group-B Strep (GBS) is a bacteria in the gut. Its populations fluctuate. It has a very small chance of harming a newborn if it colonizes the birth canal.

North American hospitals test pregnant women for GBS using a single swab for both anal and vaginal orifaces. Pic related.

Women found colonized with GBS (up to 25% of pregnant women) – whether in the birth canal or in the anus, they don't bother to differentiate – will be pressured to accept intravenous antibiotics during labor in hospital. Most acquiesce. This decimates the gut flora of both mother and infant, and risks superbug infection and lifetime consequences (allergies, IBS).

An antibacterial Chlorhexidine rinse following each defecation in late pregnancy could be enough to prevent transfer of GBS from the digestive tract to the birth canal without having to genocide the gut flora of mother and infant just to protect against a slight risk – IF they bothered to differentiate between the gut and the birth canal.

Think twice about antibiotic treatment for GBS!

I'd be more worried about the obvious measles epidemic (((the French))) is trying to start across North America.

You can pick that up vacationing in Mexico. The solution is to stay out of third world shitholes.

Get a load of this phaggot

Measles has a super low kill rate though, it isn't even worth getting vaccinated. It is basically only marginally worse than the flu.

All of us are from a long lineage where it has almost never been needed. The other died without descent.
Microbial flora protect by creating an highly competitive environment for pathogens.
Bacteria and fungi had billion year of evolution to be able to succeed, chemicals they use to compete often became our antibiotics. Those unable to compete died without a trace

Don't worry, his uncle works at the CDC

There's always something stupid in saying that nothing grows but bad weeds. It's often from places where wild plants grow perfectly without pesticides nor fertilizer.
There something wrong with that you're cultivating if you always need a lot of strong fongicides. Vine in Bordeaux is someway out of place since this plant is from dry Mediterranean climates and there's an oceanic wet climate there , however more and more vineyards manage to use only copper sulfite like treatments

You don't have to manufacture the plague but just have the good condition for it to spread. As AIDS found help with gays heroine addicts
Candida fungi are often related to sugar rich environment with poor microbial flora.
Sugar rich diet and excessive hygiene help it spread. If you add a bad health system for many you get an epidemic

The relatively recent circle jerk surrounding the largely fictional "anti-vaxx" movement is an attempt to get ahead of the inevitable waves of epidemics that will be arriving in European countries as the number of third worlders increases.

This isn't to say that there is nothing wrong with vaccination. This isn't to say that there isn't an actual movement against vaccination. This is to say that so few people are actually going against the recommendations of their doctors that there is not a threat to the "herd immunity" supposedly provided by vaccines. There is no mass movement of mothers who refuse to vaccinate their children. Hell, most of these thots are fine with mutilating their sons' genitals so, after that, what matters a little injection?

The entire point of the manufactured outrage about "anti-vaxxers" on sites like plebbit is to convince the idiot public that zuccbook moms who refuse to vaccinate their kids are the cause of the inevitable and impending epidemics. Nevermind that these pathogens have been mutating in the third world for a hundred years and that we're inviting millions of third worlders per annum… the reason that we will devolving into a diseased wasteland is that random "conservative" mothers refuse to allow us to inject their children.

The whole thing is a charade designed to stop people from using their own eyes and their own reasoning to see the obvious correlation between third worlders and the diseases they bring.

Fucking clown world.

If the planet is going to experience famines caused by the grand solar minimum this fungus might cause serious damage.

Why the fuck is there no more talk about this right now? There are infections of this all around the world.

You forgot:

ARCHIVE IT AND POST THE ARCHIVE
Lazy worthless fucking nu/pol/ faggots.

Spot on dude. If I'm ever on ANY subreddit I eventually get pissed and leave because someone always mentions ANTI-VAXXERS for guaranteed karma. So, legitimate troll farms/AI to post/upvote the anti-fax posts? Something is definitely afoot and I can tell even with the level of cuckery on reddit that this is not organic.

Phoneposting relentlessly, I apologize

I keep seeing that all the important thread that actually fucking matter get overshadowed by retarded shit here like some nigger killing some kid.

Also he found a connection to the the pedophile ring that controls our city and maybe the clinton foundation. He needs someone to make a thread about jews involvement in the meth trade.
