Yeah, this is an interesting topic of the times for sure. I see both sides of the coin. I read both Tarrant’s manifesto and 2083 A European Declaration of Independence by Breivik, and personally I feel like I’ve particularly enjoyed dissecting all the diametrically opposed claims. I think the issue in the heart of the discussion we’re having has to do with the fact that they’re full of cherry picked ideology and small half truths that add up to a dangerously skewed perspective. Breivik’s manifesto for example has several hundreds of pages of cherry picked islamic scripture and history with next to context that in a vacuum could make you go “holy shit, islam people bad. Breivik good.” This is where we get into the dangers of pseudointellect and pseudoscience packaged as something more sinister. That and the sourcing of the information in Breivik’s for example, was entirely from a narrow list of online sources. All I’m saying is no information is consequenceless. I’m able to do my research, but that’s evidently not the case for most. I’m clearly advocating for freedom of speech, of the press, and from censorship as I read the manifestos myself and felt like there was something to gain by dissecting them myself. That being said, with more exposure comes more notoriety. Iron sharpens iron. Can it be a great deterrent as well as a great indoctrinator? I don’t see why not. Just here to advance the discussion if am doing so at all.

North Korea

On March 22, the United States imposed the first new sanctions on North Korea since the second summit broke down last month. Hours later, North Korea pulled out of a liaison office with the South, in a major setback for Seoul. Presumably they would have contacted Washington, and would have asked for the sanctions to be dropped.

On March 26, President Trump announced in a cryptic tweet that he was canceling major sanctions against North Korea. After several hours of confusion, the administration announced that Trump had not been referring to those sanctions — but instead had canceled new, as-yet unannounced North Korea sanctions that were in the pipeline.

Bloomberg News reports that this explanation may have been false. Bloomberg reporters say they have been told by five unnamed sources familiar with the matter that there were no new North Korea sanctions planned and that Trump was indeed referring to the sanctions against the two Chinese shipping companies doing business with North Korea. He was eventually persuaded to change his mind, however.

The U.S. Treasury Department identified two Chinese firms for new sanctions - Dalian Haibo International Freight Co Ltd and Liaoning Danxing International Forwarding Co Ltd - which had helped the North evade U.S. and international sanctions, it said. It also cited 67 vessels for engaging in illicit transfers of refined petroleum with North Korean tankers or facilitating the export of the North’s coal. The latest sanctions showed there was some “leakage” in North Korea sanctions enforcement by China, but it was mostly abiding by U.N. resolutions, a senior U.S. official told reporters on condition of anonymity. The official said Trump “has made clear that the door is wide open to continuing the dialogue with North Korea.”

North Korea has warned it is considering suspending talks and may rethink a freeze on missile and nuclear tests, in place since 2017, unless Washington makes concessions.

Activity was detected at the North’s main rocket test facility around the time of the failed summit, fueling concern that Pyongyang may be about to resume weapons development to ratchet up pressure on Washington.

The ways in which Trump has frustrated his Russian counterpart :

1. He has withdrawn from the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, citing Russian non-compliance – a charge the Kremlin rejects.
2. Trump has accepted Montenegro into NATO and will probably add North Macedonia before his term is up. Both countries are in the Balkans, a traditional Russian sphere of influence.
3. Under Trump, the US armed Ukraine with lethal weapons in 2017, a step his predecessor Barack Obama was reluctant to take.
4. The US president expelled dozens of Russian diplomats last year in response to the alleged poisoning of a Russian spy, who defected to Britain. He also closed Russia’s consulate in Seattle (he’d already shuttered the San Francisco equivalent a year earlier).
5. In the spring of 2018, Trump ordered airstrikes against Syria, Russia’s Middle Eastern ally, which Putin condemned “in the most serious way.”
6. The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is a major piece of infrastructure for both Germany and Russia, and both countries have invested considerable energy in its completion. But Trump accuses Berlin of “paying billions of dollars into the coffers of Russia” adding how Germany is “totally controlled by Russia.” US media reported last month that Trump told German Chancellor Merkel: “Angela, you got to stop buying gas from Putin.”
7. Russia has backed the government of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela, which the Americans hope to remove. Just last week, Trump ‘ordered’ Russia to “get out” of Venezuela, despite the fact that they have been there under a treaty with Caracas.

Washington continues to heap new sanctions on Venezuela, while China sends medicines, and helps to get Venezuela's power grid back up, and blocking Guido from their banking summit. Russia installs a helicopter pilot training complex.

Trump administration on Friday levied sanctions against two foreign-owned companies and one tanker involved in the regular shipment of Venezuelan oil to Cuba, the latest in a series of escalating measures to bring pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

The sanctions block all U.S.-based assets from and prohibit any dollar transactions with properties owned by the companies, based in Liberia and Greece, along with the Liberian-flagged tanker. An additional 34 ships owned by Venezuela’s state oil company, PDVSA, were blocked.
