Firearms Owners' Protection Act of 1986 (FOPA) was legislation that among some minor protections for gunowners banned all new automatic firearms for civilian ownership. So some questions for the hyper redpilled, deeply learned intelligentsia of Zig Forums:
1. Why did the right-wing folk hero, Ronald Reagan, sign this into law? 2. Why wasn't there an armed uprising of gunowners? 3. Why wasn't there ANY uprising of gunowners? 4. Where was the NRA during this time? 5. Where was the NRA during ANY time since? 6. Why haven't Republican governments repealed the law? 7. What will anyone do if semi-autos are banned next?
I don't know but I'm going to hope that we'll revolt.

Republicans represent entrenched capital [the Democratic party does as well, but it was coming from a better origin point], they do not want an armed population and never have. They just believed they had a population so spectacularly brainwashed that firearms were a minor issue. Besides, the money rolling in from manufacturer donations and tax revenue, etc. made it easy to cosmetically support the general premise of "right to bear arms".
Now that White Americans are increasingly resisting niggerjew permafaggot forever war and are increasingly jaded and disinterested in playing along with the consumerist spicnig cycle, efforts to seize firearms under the radar are moving at warp speed under President Superniggerjew Trump.

Republikikes are retarded and Reagan was one of the worst presidents ever. The fact that Trump told Jonestein (who agreed with him) that Reagan was his favorite president should have told everyone that he'd turn out to be what he is.

because the majority of people who say they'll rise up when the government takes their firearms won't do fuck all. I respect americans for their gun laws and sense of freedom but the only person to do something about the governments tyranny was mcveigh and he's reviled by the majority of "patriotic" Americans.
