Homosexuality fits the definition of mental illness. Just because an individual may operate normally with some accommodations, doesn't at all undo the universal fact that it results in a significant handicap that would have serious threats and consequences anytime in history but in our gilded age, and it is still uncertain to what degree it's mitigated now.

What did he mean by this? Anyway gay people are, in my experience, significantly more likely to be socialists (or at least open to socialist ideas) than their straight counterparts. I'm not sure why the bourgeoisie would create a class of people who are significantly disadvantaged by capitalism as part of a plan to disrupt socialist movements.
