And here's the solution: produce quality content.
Most far-left YouTube is basically just a largely unedited opinionstube rant video with static pictures. Contrapoints and Hbomberguy are popular because their videos have direction and quality editing.
So, if you want to take down these guys, or even the other parts of YouTube, you need to plan out how your video is going to go down before making it, don't just slap it together. Do multiple takes for your lines so that it all flows well and doesn't sound like a rant. Try to use video in the background instead of static images, have some background music going, break the video up into distinct segments so it comes off less as a unplanned stream of consciousness.
I, for one, actually don't mind the sort of ranty videos a lot of lefttubers put out, but I recognize that they're pretty niche. If you want quasi-mainstream YouTube popularity, you need to do more.
I'm probably going to make some serious vids (i.e Venezuela, DPRK, etc) I just need to find a pleasing aesthetic

What people like to watch is people tearing others a new one, Rebel's video on Crowder was good, Pierre's videos on Sargon & co. etc were (tho albeit a bit lacking) overall good, Badmouse's response videos were good.
Besides response videos, the videos that get the most attention are ones with a controversial topic that is recognizable in the title. Just taking a quick look at Mexie's channel you can immediately see that her most viewed videos are with a clear title concerning a frequently argued topic whether among lolberts or leftists, or some type of video that is popular i.e. her personal ideology video. Who the fuck do you think is going to watch a video titled "Colonial-Capitalist Exploitation: Indigenous Peoples in Canada [Collab w/ Vegan Sista + Mad Blender]"? Who the fuck cares about this shit besides a niche of people? On the other hand, Badmouse's video titles and thumbnails are attractive, catchy, aesthetic, and it's only because of that his videos had more exposure in the few years he's been here than Roo who has more subscribers and time on his channel, yet so little exposure and relevancy.
I'm not suggesting you (content creators) should sell-out and start making clickbait, I'm saying you should make relevant videos with some aesthetic production value. And fucking practice your voice and lines, make it PLEASANT to listen to you, seriously.
