In fighting homeless camp, Irvine's Asians win, but at a cost

Their "race" is diversity. They're like a bizarro Zig Forums in that they're religiously tribal to the concept of multiracial community.

It's one of those things everyone in the media (especially local media) knows but doesn't talk about. For example in the current SF Mayoral race commentators often allude to "Chinatown's voice" which is a very soft, coded way of saying which candidate will suck up to that part of town the most and win the swing vote. And what does Chinatown want? They want the homeless people gone, they want city inspectors to not inspect their slums (this is where massage parlors, child prostitution and chain migration occur) and for developers to not approach landlords with offers (a major deal as newly proposed legislation would strip away most of the zoning restrictions within Chinatown).

This is also reflected in the Mayoral candidates' platforms themselves. All of them call for stopping homelessness by "stopping evictions", even though most homeless in SF arrive never rented in the city ever. The eviction fuckery is 100% done to prevent landlords from evicting tenants within Chinatown (in particular aging patriarchs running sweatshops from whores bought in China) and thereby making it virtually impossible for landlords to redevelop property into higher density complexes. To be clear I'm not defending landed gentry but in this case the landed gentry want to get prices down but sweatshop owners are using the city government to prevent it. This is also where SF's byzantine laws in regards to who can rent what retail spaces where (heritage and cultural association fuckery apply here) occur.

By comparison white people just opt to move out to places like Foster City, Elk Grove or Citrus Heights instead, places that are built from the ground up to contain homeless people into drainage ditches and freeway offramps. It's an equally bourgeoisie situation, but a much less ruthless methodology since suburban homeless usually aren't having their shit stolen by pissed off tenants (who can pretend to not speak English and avoid speaking to the police, who won't come into their block unless called by a tenant's landline anyway. This also relates to how California handles 911 calls).

Also by preventing evictions, tenants can't be evicted for subletting (which is banned under California's slumlording laws), violating building policies (like operating lathes or industrial equipment in residential units), violating zoning policies (running a commercial business like a "massage parlor" from a residential unit), violating worker safety laws (like having a nine year old operate industrial equipment), or selling alcohol after 2am (illegal per the city's alcohol codes).

That's the type of shit going on, and it's coded as "protecting the homeless" when in reality it's the Chinese tenants having their kids steal shit (especially cash or jewelry) from any homeless who wander in as a type of neighborhood watch.

I’ve noticed that the Chinese are much more likely to see something inherently wrong in the character of someone who is homeless. White people can be judgemental and harsh, but the Chinese I know almost view them as vermin with no redeeming qualities.

SK isn't all of asia, and even there the American advance was stopped halfway and Americans forced to retreat to the current borders. Given that MacArthur's original plan was to nuke his way through China and then Indochina, the fact that communist regimes survived at all demonstrates the lack of American imperialism. Or at least successful American imperialism.

yes mostly because most homeless (shopping cart, big jacket, smell) tend to be either mentally disabled people or black. Traditionalist asians, especially ones right off the boat, consider both to be walking trash that they'll freely steal from. It's ancap tier behavior, which I guess should be expected as the west coast is full of all the asians who explicitly did not want to live in socialist countries.

What the fuck you are talking about? Ok SK isn't all asia but they literally got invaded by the US because they were becoming communist and the US installed puppet pinochet tier dictatorships for 40 years. The country is still full of American bases and soldiers.
