What Stalin did wrong?

Do Communists advocate the abolition of private property? I know Communists advocate for the seizure of the means of production but what's the deal with private property? sorry for invoking seinfeld

Private property is the means of product man

"The theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property." t. Marx
Also this

I assume that communists are not opposed to me having my own house, right? Is there a distinction to be made?

there's a difference between private property and personal property
we're not gonna take your toothbrush, and I doubt there's a reason to take your house

Nope. By private property we mean means of production. We are not interested in toothbrushes.

Where'd this toothbrush example derive from exactly?

How do I drop the commie pill on my reactionary roommates? Should I?

it's basically just a joke about how "socialists want to take everything"
basically it's reactionaries conflating private and personal property so they think we want to take their toothbrush or their phone or anything like that

What's going on with FinnBol? I've heard he's being called out for making rape threats against a teenage girl but I'm very hazy on the exact details so forgive me if I'm getting it wrong. I don't want to incriminate him.

Nah man. He made a joke because an anti communist thot began with breaking balls few months ago. Now twitter redlibs are calling him out for it. Probably Aiden agents or something like that.

Is DiaMat scientifically verifiable?

Purges.

Personal property is yours and we don't wanna touch it.

Yes. How? Idk. Good Luck.

you probably shouldn't be so upfront about it, they'd just shut it out immediately

I thought the "girl" didn't exist?

...

I mean it was on discord so who knows

Does this sound like a Zig Forums poe to anyone else?
reddit.com/r/feminisms/comments/8atqww/advocating_for_refugee_rights/

Sounds plausible enough but since it's reddit it's fake and gay.

I just find it jarring that anyone can think that Saudi Arabia is presently a victim. Are we not allowed to hold Saudi Arabia to the same standards as other modern countries?

almost seems like COINTELPRO

Suh comrades
I am writing a pamphlet so that I may introduce people to Communism. Here it is so far

ehhhhhhhhhHHHHHH
it's alright but your definitions seem a bit iffy

He wrote like 20 paragraphs on a discord server about raping a 12 year old girl. Does Zig Forums support Beria now?

What does Zig Forums think of Sufism as an alternative to religious orthodoxy and hard materialism/atheism? Sufis have historically been highly influential in anti-imperialist and leftist movements in the MENA.

She was 12? I heard she was 16, meaning she was of age in Finland.

Yes. Read Reason in Revolt by Ted Grant and Alan Woods.

Isn't that the book where they attempt to debunk the Big Bang?

Yes, rightly so.
Read Engels.

Where can we read these paragraphs?

Dialectics of Nature is shit tho.

You've probably never read it. You are probably just parroting that line to fit in. But if you have, your inability to understand dialectics impeded you.

How is Engels correct? Also, how do Engels views not logically lead to Lysenkoism?

Provide some proof or I call BS

Not enough purges.

How does Protracted People's War work in the 21st century when imperialist countries don't even engage in full-scale invasions anymore, they just rely on proxy warfare? For example, the US and Iran won't go to war they'll just get Israel to fight Hezbollah and vice-versa or duke it out more in Syria. Doesn't that put a huge hole in modern Maoist strategy?

...

What's the typical ☭TANKIE☭ take on Pol Pot?

Opportunist.

1) Why is the state seen as inherently an instrument of oppression by one class against another
2) why is class collaboration ridiculed?
I know these two are both tied up together, just curious to see the reasoning. Would appreciate some reading too if you have any
t. Strass.erist

hezbollah drains israel's resources by keeping a constant state of conflict on the border. duh.

the communist manifesto

Won't happen. Hezbollah's main basis of support (Iran) is unstable enough as it is.

Okay please give me a good answer for this:

Is Hegel worth reading at all if you've read Marx and Hegelian-influened Marxists like Lukacs?

are traps gay?

maoism is cancer
it makes a concrete situational adaption of ML to the general rule
it's fucking retarded

meant for

Yes. But there is nothing wrong with being gay.

Cockshott gang

The socialist definition of "private property" can be somewhat confusing in the capitalist world which draws no distinction between personal and private property as in their world there is no ideological difference between owning means of production or a toothbrush.

Socialists want to abolish private property insofar that the MoP should be collectively owned by the proletariat. Personal property like your toothbrush, your shoes, your car, your phone etc. are still yours.

yes but also who cares gender and sexuality are spooks

Cockshott thinks homosexuality is bourgeoisie lifestyle

1) because as it stands today, the state is made up of a group of people who come from a very different background to the common man. speaking for the UK, most of our politicians go to public schools (private school for americans) like eton and harrow. they're basically bred to go into high power positions. they're porkies who only serve to advance porkies interests and maintain a system in which the proles are infighting and distracted. this is just in a capitalist state tho, in a communist state (with the abolition of private property) there'd possibly be less reason for people in power to fuck over the proles. i, however, would love to do away with the state.
2) because porkie will never have your interests at heart. they use you to get more money and couldn't care less if you fail in the mean time. as soon as you aren't useful to them anymore they'll toss you aside and pretend they never knew you. also, why would you work to make someone /else/ money?
i don't really have any specific reading, just the basics of commnist theory really.

Meme question:

Does anyone know the name of the song from this Batko video?

youtu.be/FnxBSYnAr74?t=1m14s

But what about farmers? is the land they use personal property? If yes, do they own what they produce? If yes, wouldn't that end up being the same as a market?
What if farmers have children? Would they have to split personal property between their children? Wouldn't that bring back private property and set up another class system where a minority of people own the land again? Genuinely interested.

What would you recommend?

"Evil Morty's theme"
yes it is from rick and morty

Thank you for the answer, user. I understand where you're coming from. I'll keep reading more too, even if I disagree I at least want to understand it better than the average Zig Forumstard

1. Not all farms are family-owned farms. I'd venture to say that most farm land these days is owned by megacorps.

2. Many, if not most or even all, of farm workers don't have ownership of the farm land. They could be migrants looking for farm work or even sharecroppers. These workers do not own the means of production and do not own the fruits of their labor either.

3. Farms are a means of production in the same way that Factories are.

4. For whatever reason you are still conflating private property with personal property. My understanding is that private property is the means of production.

But is there a possibility of land, not the house itself, also being considered personal property?

If it applies to factories or coalfields, why would it not apply to farmland?

follow up question: is personal property "owned" by an individual? are the raw materials i get personal property? is what I produce personal property?

Why is every Canadian I meet a cunt as soon as they find out i’m from Greenland?

If you want to go live on a small farm somewhere with your family I think it should be possible. You'd definitely have rights over that farm, not absolute rights, but enough rights that it can't be taken from you arbitrarily.

Splitting the property among your children wouldn't really be desirable. They couldn't sell the property or anything. If they want to be farmers themselves, they'll be able to continue on your farm or seek another one.

If you want to split up the property into two separate farms you'd probably have to ask the question to a contractor or something. They'd look into whether its viable and get back to you.

You own the stuff you produce, but you can't sell it on a market simply because there'd be no markets. You'd have to dispose of your produce in an appropriate manner, and you'd get labor tokens or some other compensation in return.

Thank you for your answers. They were really helpful.
But if you could elaborate a bit more on this last paragraph a bit more or point out a book that explains an alternative way of exchanging goods and how it would work if put into practice that would be great.

how much is 20 feet of linen really worth?

How do I escape bouj lifestyle? It's nothing but moral poison

Blonde Redhead - For the Damaged Coda

Was Stalin the greatest ruler of the 20th century? You can make a very compelling case.

I'm gonna have to go with Mao for the most recent rupture in the movement tbh.

Read Lenin's State and Revolution

Much thanks. Good song.

Would executive decisions of anime be subject to democracy under communism?
like, would you have to enforce intellectual property in order to have control over the direction of an anime series, or even any piece of art?
Obviously you couldn't create a show or movie on your own, and would have to collectivise the effort to make it, so would the animators have an authority in the direction of the show?
What if the animators think your ideas are stupid? Could they overrule your decisions and make the show however they want and blacklist you from utilising their help again?
does creating anime also fall under socially necessary labour, or is it just a personal hobby?
would you have to work in a factory throughout the week in order to have the free time to also work on an anime?

tl;dr
how does the management of a movie or series operate without economic contracts tying people to their work and designated areas of craft?

that's what the thread is about.

I was there at the time, so I think I can shed some light on this for those still in the dark.

It was erotic RP done in the now defunct lewd channel of Finnbol's discord server, anyone could participate and Finnbol and his gf at the time, don't know if they're still a thing decided to take it a bit far and the end result is what was posted online and everyone is now misinterpreting it as Finnbol sexually harassing an underaged girl. I won't go into detail about what the whole ERP thing was about, but I'll just say that it involved a kulak, rape, torture and the NKVD.

Both parties were of the legal age of consent in their native country, meaning 16 or older. This whole thing has been blown out of proportion and discussion about it should seriously have stopped a long time ago considering its been months already since it happened but some people just can't help but keep bringing it up.

How exactly do anarchists define the state and how do leftcoms define the state?

How the fuck does anarchy handle crime?
World's not perfect, transition has to take place, and you'll get people with brain injuries or something gone wrong who will act against social interests. What's the anarchist solution to this?
Yeah and when the whole world is anarchy? Where do you exile them, space?

Dunno about leftcoms but I would say a state is

just like gang up and kill people lmao
-t. anarchists

How did people before institutionalized police forces handle crime you lunk head.

Most crime is not even solved by police, when someone steals something they just come and have a look then go do something else.
In my country the police mostly just do anti-terrorism and protecting private property and border, they don't really settle crime……….

Why people say
It seemed pretty ideal for me. Obviously I don't want the same standards of living, but I want the soviet union in a modern contest with better material conditions

Lack of cops =/= anarchy. How do you prevent or respond to crime without a hierarchy to enforce "law" or some other social standard?

Because USSR masquerades as communist but they suppressed real leftism………

Idiot, that's besides the point
HOW DID PEOPLE DEAL WITH THIS BEFORE INSTITUTIONALIZED POLICE FORCES

PICK UP A BOOK YOU STUPID FUCKER

People don't like gulags for one thing. And even if you think the USSR was ideal, what did it lead to?

Attached: 1423412435995.jpg (508x532, 43.86K)

La travail c'est la gulag avec la clim.

It should be but they both only addressed the matter of cops.
Yeah, again - cops are not the only sort of hierarchy. If some community organization decides you must be punished that's also a hierarchy. Cops are a really specific thing.

Capitalism being shitty doesn't justify whatever the USSR was being shitty and your quote not only implies that they're basically the same but that capitalism is a bit more comfortable.

Attached: Read A Book.webm (490x360, 4.48M)

How come the USSR had such terrible gdp per capita? Why was their growth so slow after industrialization? Why did Japan, a more isolated country with few natural resources which lost the war, outstrip the USSR in terms of development, technology, and the development of a free civil society?

How do you expect to sway anyone if you can't answer questions most people will think to ask?
