Starbucks APOLOGIZE!

Due to recent events, Starbucks has been thrust into the light yet again. Ironic that such a debacle would happen at such a forward thinking coffee shop. Nonetheless, I think it's a nice gesture what they are doing.

Fuck off.

I guess someone had to bring it up. Honestly, the worst part of this is that all the employees will have to undergo bullshit “sensitivity training” because of policies and attitudes that were created by the Starbucks shareholders and management themselves.

The manager was also fired for some shit they trained her to do. She was just the fall-girl (as all managers are) but who knows if she’d be able to get a job breaking bricks now.

OP here, what is wrong with you, user? I think that this gesture is needed and I think that for too long African Americans have got the shit end of the stick. It's about time we recognize oppression and apologize when needed.

Who actually gives a shit if Starbucks is racist? They're a private business. Your mac-owning, starbucks-drinking ass isn't leftist, and we need nothing less than the total abolition of private property before such problems are truly resolved anyways. This news literally makes no difference to the class-conscious.

Of course she did. This has nothing to do with rational behavior. This is a very politically charged issue, and of course she needs to be the fall person. But at the same time, I'm sure there would have been a way to deescalate the situation.

Bump.

Fair enough, user. We abolish private property, then what? The entire judicial system too? A Magna Carta type governance? State governance?

Communal governance. Hence "Communism".

Which is fine, user. I am open to the idea. However, is that not what we have now? I mean 3 people don't decide the law on some panel. All laws are in fact presented to the public and voted on. Reps and Senators are elected by the people to cast votes. How would a Communist system vary the outcome juxtaposed to what we currently have?

Do not respond to the post above me

That's not what "Communism" means.

It's called loitering and it's illegal. Why does the color of their skin matter? You guys sound pretty racist.

...

Mmmk, I do lurk, but I'm just posing a question. Do you all really believe that our system is much different than an outright Oligarchy? Isn't it time to speak openly about what's really going on? Are there not classes of elite people who actually "run the show." The only difference is that they only care about THEIR interests. At least Communists put the STATE's interests before any omnipotent oligarch.

Well, the problem, user, was the context. People meet up in Starbucks quite often without buying anything; meeting people who possibly HAVE bought something. The point of the matter is that this situation got escalated to the point that it got ugly. Did they really need to allow the escalation to happen taking into account that their worst transgression was "they didn't buy anything?" Were they causing trouble? Were they bothering other customers? No. Soooo, why did this happen?

Nice fake coupon you got there. I saw this shit on Zig Forums earlier today. Any black fellas here, don't print this and use the coupon. It's not real and it's just there to embarrass you when the barista declines it.

Communists want to abolish the state my man

I like how this is being made into a race issue to cover for the very real issue of corporate private property enforcement ("you can't be here if you don't buy").

This makes me seriously question what country you're from
