to remind people there is an open source alternative to windows that's not linux
that's not the whole story. development has picked up more rapidly since the release of windows 8, and the frustrations of windows 10 have only confirmed that microsoft is taking its operating system in a direction its customers don't want.

reactos can currently run DirectX/OpenGL games only in software mode (no GPU acceleration) because they have yet to write GPU drivers. they are focused on software compatibility and reverse engineering win32 and other generic drivers (usb stack, network stack). in other words they need to finish the base (kernel, win32 API) of the operating system before working on extensions (non-essential hardware drivers, peripherals, etc.)
Daniel Perry
also they would rather not have to write their own drivers to begin with. the goal is to get reactOS to mimick windows and still be able to install proprietary windows 10 drivers from AMD, NVIDIA, Intel, Realtek, etc
go back to your containment board, you're missing out on one hell of a circlejerk
Matthew Walker
The only appropriate role role for ReactionaryOS is to taper off usage of Windows programs. Unix-like operating systems are designed by the workers for the role of production, NT is designed for the role of mindless consumption.
