In a vacuum I don't like denuclearization, but there are certain things I'd trade nukes for if I were the WPK, but even then you have to be cautious. Korean reunification is worth giving up the nukes, but only if the unified Korea can maintain the DPRK's Juche. Unfortunately, I don't see the West letting reunification happen peacefully unless Korea becomes fully capitialist. Tread carefully, Kim.

They should, too. Of course it's never going to happen. Even if there was a serious denculearization, they would all blame each other of not having destroyed all their nukes and use that as excuse to keep a few themselves.
And even if all nukes were destroyed. How long would it take to build new ones if there is another major conflict? The weapon exists and we're never getting rid of it.

Denuclerizatin is bad. Nukes prevent great powers from going to war. If there weren’t Nuke WW3 would’ve likely happened multiple times over, and nuclear war is so unlikely it’s barely a factor.

It also has CANDU reactor which is the best reactor to create nuclear weapons.
We can nuclearize within one year.

Assuming this information is true and the DPRK undergoes denuclearisation, the only way this would turn out well is if they get Chinese and/or Russian guarantees of protection against America
but that's a big assumption, hopefully Kim doesn't go full Deng

Finally a third thought. Kim may be trying to pull of an Iran style deal, buy some breathing room and time but still have all the infrastructure and ability to whip together some nukes in a few months if things look bad

Eh I can see how NK might try to game this. I think Kimmie boy is playing with an interesting hand, and is trying to throttle the US. If it's true, then I can just see it as NK trying to buy time. What are you basing this on? War has existed for thousands of years, yet we've had nuclear bombs for not even a century. One nuclear war would be enough to kill us all.
