Im pretty sure depends on how much weight you lift, heavy weights can put you at risk if you are not careful.
While it is true that running can be hard on your join the point im trying to make is that muscle mass will not benefit you, while stuff like resistance training and cardio is great for your cardiovascular health.

The practicality of having more muscle is great in itself. At work, I watch the thin-as-a-rail types struggle to lift anything over 35 lbs whereas my coworkers rely on me to help them lift heavy objects all the time. Steel grills that are in excess of 100 lbs, heavy weight sets, 40+ bags of deer corn even bass boats etc.

I'm not even at the kind of job where you'd imagine that you'd need a lot of muscle but its better to have something and not need it then need something and not have it.

In George washingtons farewell speech he basically said dont get entangled in foreign wars and politics and to fuck the old world and focus only on the new world. I'd just say the conservative tradition didn't really exist circa Washington. Literally a revolutionary, and conservatism as we know it today was defined later. Slavery was even an ethical issue with a lot of the founding fathers who had slaves, but it wouldn't get abolished for a long time.
