Where is it exactly a requirement?

t. never heard of that dress code

Nice stealth foot fetish thread. Bump.

Dress codes in places such as law firm usually require high heels for women.

Employers should be illegal.

No. And we should bring back sexy nurse's uniforms.

Same as the wage gap shit.

Dress codes are basically biopolitics. It's a way for management to ensure they have control over you, including your own body.

Are you 13

>>>/reddit/

High heels should be illegal period they are heightist. Make up too for that matter.

For real, why women gotta do dis to us shorties.

It should be illegal for employers to require employees to deliberately injure themselves, yes.

Shoes should be illegal period they are rightist.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (430x188, 147.56K)

This.

this.
Otherwise, uniforms and dress codes should only be needed for safety issues and identification.

half of all employers should be women

Fuck you I won't do what you tell me. Hardhats and steel toed boots are for pussies.

who here /industriallaboranddoesntwearsteeltoes/
I can't afford any new boots at the moment :^(

Clothing are for pussies.

Haven't you got a restraunt to shoot up?

High heels should be illegal. They're a symbol of the bourgeois, and make women seem like delicate objects rather than human beings. FLAT HEELS ONLY FOR EVERYONE

Attached: FabulousColdDuckbillplatypus-max-1mb.gif (222x330, 545.39K)

yes

Is this good enough for you?

High heels actually developed out of horseback riding (helped keep your feet in the stirrups) but later became fashionable because it makes you taller and makes you flex your leg muscles, giving you a defined shape.

no

Yes, dress codes (outside of cleanliness standards, and perhaps some other functionality I'm not remembering) shouldn't exist.

Shit, wanna fuck then?

If someone wants to risk their life, they should be allowed, outside of a truly ridiculous edge case.

...

Absolutely not. People can go risk their lives in their free time.

Bare feet should be a requirement for most workplaces. Especially for women.

Yeah you shouldn't be able to make people wear shit just because you don't want them to die. People should be free to determine what level of safety they wish upon themselves.
You're cringy. The "productivity" loss from a dead person is minimal, and just because you're a socialist doesn't mean everything has to be framed in some sort of "labor" context. Why do you guys do that so often? It makes me sick sometimes. Thisin particular is not even a Socialist thing to say, it's basically just "muh hard work so boss gets his gibs" rebranded but for some mystical other or self.

Fuck off.

I don't see the clean up of peoples heads getting stuck in jet engines "minimal".

Talking about from cleaning up a corpse and sudden funeral arrangements and shit, not from the loss of a worker.

One day you too will grow out of the "socialism is when dad can't tell me what to do" phase.

NO

Attached: images.jpg (193x261, 10.58K)

A helmet won't stop you from getting jet engine'd. Don't know why I'm responding to a throw away comment though.

Oh yeah right, because he was never going to die before hand, and thusly his funeral wasn't going to be arranged. Or perhaps because of the head damage, the funeral will cost more? So mandatory helmets always? Or perhaps you stop with the weak arguments and realize there is no logical reason to enforce helmets? You realize a lot if not most people will
The implication that you or the state is my dad is chilling
For one, it implies that you see the state as a father figure.
Secondly, it implies you see yourself as fatherly/reasonably authoritative.
Thirdly, and terrifyingly, it implies that you could actually have children.
Now in the interest of being fair and humane, I do suggest that all namefags be sterilized.
Does anyone have an actual argument outside of "They die", "We can't let them die", or "They know not what they do"?
Because, in order I listed the questions
1.) They were going to.
2.)Not your position to decide.
3)It's a helmet not rocket science.

shut the fuck up and get back in the breadline soyboy

The mentally retarded (including you) have to be protected from themselves.

if no one in the workplace cares if a faggot want's to die by not wearing a hardhat ok, it's their job to scrape his brains of the floor after. but if the other workers decide hardhats are a necessity they will just fire the dumbfuck.

Disobeying safety procedures is a very close analogy to Disobeying safety procedures by not wearing a helmet.

The state is the Father, all knowing and benevolent. It protects the soft brained like yourself from harm, for they too are the children of the State. Historical inevitability working on the vanguard party as the apostolic successors to Marx the Redeemer guide us on the path to communism.

why am I fucking perpetually horny?

What if the other workers decide this is a Christian workplace? What if the other workers decide this is a white workplace? You and your retard grip on democracy suddenly have to take a few steps back, and I'm interested in whatever halfbaked morality will save your pure and fetishist democracy.

The jet engine I can almost see, as it could damage the blades, which clearly makes this a group problem and no longer a personal one. But I'm not against safety procedures, I arguing against helmets. But if it is a personal safety procedure, no, you shouldn't have to follow it. To suggest someone should HAVE to make a certain decision, when it only concerns them, is the sort of controlled, beaten dog-esque mindset I would expect from liberals, not Zig Forums.

On whose behalf? Their behalf? These are fully functioning adults we are talking about, not children or the mentally deficient. Stop infantilizing people and realize that they can make their own decisions, and stop trying to control everybody.
I hate issues like these, I can't help but feel they are too insignificant to "fight". Yet they are like "the pebbles of evil". Next to the roots of evil, they are fine and insignificant, but overall they make a giant, shitty beach that people smear their faces in, only to turn, face full of shit, to declare you an idiot.

Are you role playing as a cuck or is this real? Is an Internet Communist your fursona or have you really developed yourself into a retard? Were you always this way? The world may never know why namefags are the way they are.

Obviously.
They are obviously mentally deficient if they refuse to wear the proper safety gear in a dangerous workplace.
stfu anarkiddie we'll control anyone we want

Sure buddy, I'm dead serious. Meanwhile you have to invoke "pebbles of evil" to defend your infantile contrarianism.

this is me, I'm leaving, so I probably won't see your posts. None of you were very convincing, but it was fun.
Sage for autistic post, but I felt a little bad for leaving

Then it will be a white christian workplace till they decide otherwise.
I am not fetishizing democracy, people generally don't want to be responsible for other's stupidity but if they do who will stop them?
Maybe you should quit your halfbaked moralism and stop thinkining those thigs are good or bad, they will just happen.
If the other workers decide to break the nonhardhat wearing scum's head themselves they will.

It should be legal to make men unable to use the internet before the age of 18. In fact, nobody should use the internet. Look at what it's done

Prove me fucking wrong

No, the other workers will give you shit because they don't want a falling brick to mean they have to mop up your brains. It's a lot like gun culture, except in that case you endanger other people more than yourself when you don't follow safety procedures.

Attached: 7FMIBPGJGZHELODTJZZ67EIR4U.jpg (1200x675, 103.05K)

High heels in general should be illegal, they look painful to walk on.

You're being a nuisance to me and the workers around you for unnecessarily endangering yourself and subsequently being self detrimental to us by making us have to clean your dead ass out of the gears. It's more beneficial to people who actually work and not crush their head on the first five minutes on the job to reject your kind from the job. screw off, don't even bother joining the military now that you are unemployed and want a good pension because you fail to want to wear Body armor or a helmet which results in your squad mates dragging your dead ass to medevac and subsequently becoming a nuisance and a hazard to your team by causing them to be in the warzone and enemy fire for a longer period of time fatass.
Just kill yourself my dude.

speak for yourself

mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/miraculous-moment-airman-sucked-jet-10432160
Aircraft mechanic, volunteer firefighter, and former machinist here. Wear your fucking PPE.

What country are you from because I've never ever heard of this happening in America, mostly because law firms are full of cougars and hamplanets who only require black shoes and socks. Most courts don't even require shoes at all and allow flip flops.

When it comes to shoe safety the only place I can think of it are actual jobsites where steel toed boots are either required or banned depending on the type of work.

High heels will be banned after the revolution

This.

Attached: feet4534.jpg (414x545, 65.31K)

I'm speaking for you. The world would be a better place without posters

Unless wearing high heel shoes (IE modeling, playing a character who wears heels, etc. - art/performance fields) is an actual part of the job, then yes. Regular wear causes damage. They also slow people down and make it harder not to fall down - IE, they leave women more vulnerable and make them less efficient at almost any job.

OP asks opinion on a specific issue; gets response that generalizes to the root of the problem. This is such a classic Zig Forums response.

And I love it.

bump

Attached: 13.jpeg (650x974, 559.63K)

You know the reason women wear high heels is because it gives them a better posture and a sexier way of walking.

HHNNNNGGGG more pls

I'm back faggots, and THIS is shitposting. I have """leftists"""supporting white supremacy, non-arguments, and it is all, very interesting. Zig Forums has yet again managed to exactly fill my expectations of being ridiculoisly baffling and incongruent.

I picked you first, you posted a story and made a cool little backstory for yourself.
Cool story (on both accounts), and I totally agree. Wear your PPE, it could save your life. Why risk your life when you don't have to?

This one, I almost responded to first, but it's so banal and edgy that the comedy wore off quick.
Firstly, you accuse me of being a moralizer, and I accept this label gladly. Morals are important, and Zig Forums anons will continue their pseudo-moral ravings until they figure it out, which would be nice because I can't quit find any that fit exactly . The image (that I imagine when other user talk about morality) of Lenin, Marx, Stalin (etc…) as unfeeling, "realist" automatons with no morality ALWAYS makes me emotional. It's comical and saddening, and really makes me feel for the Anons here.
But what I liked about your post was your acceptance of white supremacy or even a theocratic rule, as long as it was democratic! It's just bizarre, and makes me wonder about a lot. Would he stop being a Socialist if we voted him to stop? Would he stop being a Socialist if it was illegal? Would he do this because of the vote or because we were being mean to him? I think you just want to fit in.
Another part I liked was your total "sidestep" of my prediction (that you would asspull some stupid moral shit), and you asspulled some stupid anti-moral shit. You just asserted that morals don't real, things aren't good or bad, things just are. Which is a really, really big take. You could snake a forest with takes that big.
Then, you made the REALLY obvious point that if a bunch of people decide something, they can decide it to be that way. It's okay though, Anons. I don't love you for your brains or insight, I love you for how you make me think.

This one, I chose, because I was tired of scrolling. It's hard work to think about hot takes for minutes on end.

Your larping as a hardened industrialist gave me a chubbie and a single, very communist, tear in my eye.
I'm not being a nuisance to anyone, except some buttblasted Anons. Even if we were doing the most accident prone labor of all time, I'm still not being a nuisance to you, because I would choose to wear the PPE. That's my decision, and I'm happy I'm in the cool kids club now.
I do think the idea that someone else's death is a nuisance to you is a really hot description. It's a hardcore edge lord take of "death don't faze me" combined with a soyboy take of "P-please don't hurt yourself user, it will upset my chakras". Isn't there some sort of waifu for this, -dere?
Perhaps the issue lies with you? You care so much for someone's life that you would prolong it using measures they wouldn't employ? What you like is the actual existence of the person, instead of what a person actually is. You would stifle and enforce "protections" upon someone so you can enjoy them. Like declawing, defanging, and paralyzing a tiger just so you can have the tiger.

Attached: 6a91837cfaeaf0ff5e757fff1508b4305dffff3c29f4538c9a61d19e590def12.jpg (255x255, 15.62K)

This goes to all of you really, where do you draw the line? This isn't slippery slope, so put that away. Why make people wear protective gear at a workplace, but not all the time? Why are all vending machines not bolted to the ground? Why are all floors not covered in are soft material? Why do we have corners? All of these things risk our lives, yet you don't see getting rid of them as worthy goals? But getting rid of an uncovered head is, apparently, of such importance you would do it at any costs. If your response is that doing all this would be ridiculously expensive, I would agree. But they would still, by your ideas, be worthy goals, no? However, if you adopt my stance, that individual risks are individual concerns, suddenly all of these moral questions go away. Everyone can decide their own level of risk to prepare for, as long as it doesn't infringe on somebody else.
Now, to return to this user.
I never said anything about being allowed to ruin machinery with unsafe practices. Don't strawman me faggot. If someone doesn't want to protect their head, and something gets dropped on it, that's a personal problem, and they will be out shortly. I never said they could jam their fingers into machinery with no worry to exercise some immortal freedom.
The rest of your stuff is you either creating a fictitious character to make fun of (very hilarious) or talking about endangering the military. I have REPEATEDLY said that you can't endanger others, and obviously you would be endangering others if you get shot, etc… because you don't want to wear an armored vest. It's NOT the same to not wear a hard hat during construction work. (Not all of course, clearly some forms of work could end up requiring a hard hat, like I've said, I endorse it if you are endangering others or they will become endangered)

They are 100% allowed to disagree. I'm happy they express their concerns, and I hope that they all wear their helmets in the future. I hope they convince their coworker to wear the helmet.

I didn't "invoke" the "pebbles of evil" to defend anything. It's just a metaphor (but a special type that I can't remember the name of, an analysis perhaps?). These small issues are terrible. They take an inordinate (for their size) amount of work to change people's minds on, yet they have a sort of wrongness in them. It's like how you can take out the Nazis, yet racism still sticks around and sort of half-racist ideas still kick around, and they take years to go away. Probably like old religions. Eventually, people will just blindly accept things like "There is no real reason I should force this guy to wear a hardhat" while Anons here get immeasurably buttblasted at the suggestion that, hey, maybe you don't force people to do things when it doesn't effect you palpably. I suspect that you guys are just having a lizard brain moment where you go "The worker men need yellow hat", but that is me wanting to see things nicely, and not accept that you guys truly are just that assblasted about this.

I'm not an Anarkiddie, by the by, I'm probably most like a Marxist Leninist. I just don't have the completely edge-lord invented hard on for controlling people in tiny ways. I see this a lot, people vying for timy, insignificant power over each other. So perhaps it isn't just you being edgy, and maybe it is a symptom of powerlessness.
Wew, I think I responded to you all. I can't believe I actually spent almost an hour on this. Let me tell you, I was enjoying myself, but now I've got that sick pit feeling you get whenever you're beating your head against a wall to do nothing. Gross. Shameful.

what, like not wearing safety gear because the cool guys never did in the movies?

don’t worry, you have nothing to protect

wtf is this autism

Take my word for it or don't, but fuck off with this idea of having a "choice" in workplace safety. The reality is your decisions regarding safety not only effect you but the others around you. No one wants to see the people they work with get hurt on the job or killed, no one wants to see or hear people spreading the idea or displaying that such an attitude towards safety is ok. Whether you like it or not, your injuries on the job become the job of another person to take care of and in some cases may put their life at risk to do so. This is explicit in firefighting, because if you get injured because you decided that for whatever fucking reason to not wear your flashhood or not check your pack condition and air percentage before entering or not make sure to have a proper seal on your mask because you thought that this would just be another routine call like a kitchen fire and all you'd be doing is humping hose through the hall, and you get injured or disoriented because of it, that means we have one more person to worry about detracting us from doing the rest of our job and from other victims because helping and saving other firefighters always goes above any other victim rescue. I shouldn't even have to use any emergency service as an example, not following safety guidelines and protocols in any kind of work, especially trades, is liable to getting both yourself and others hurt or killed. They showed saw a video once while in machining of a man being pulled into the lathe he was working with and his friend trying to go and help him. Nobody wants to fucking see that or be the one to experience that. Again, believe me or don't believe me, but fuck off with this infantile thinking that your actions are somehow outside of or removed from others or the workplace. You don't just live in your own little self-contained world.

Yes
HOWEVER
With certain scope with regards convenience and dignity, dress codes are a good thing. This applies exponentially to school uniform policies.
By skipping uniform policies, either at work or at school, you reopen the can of worms that is consumerist self expression. This has two elements - the first is the obvious undesirability of self-expression via commodities to begin with, and the second is the creation of a much greater class barrier.

Let us consider McDonalds. Now, McDonald's uniform is demeaning - but imagine how much worse the situation would be if you had the rich-kids working their summer job wearing expensive, fancy, socially acceptable clothing and the 50 year old ex-steelmill employees wearing tattered rags still covered in dirt from when they were working a real job. Not only does this make the situation even more demeaning, it stands as a massive disincentive to organising and to the early elements of class-conscious behaviour. When the middle and "genuine" working class wear the same uniform, they see themselves both in the same position - outside the uniform, they wear the uniform of their social (as distinct from economic relationship to MoP) class.

Furthermore there are advantages in identifiability, both in practical terms (knowing who to ask for help) and in iconographic terms, though these are less severe.

Nah miss me with that shit.
The social edge case is that if you don't have to dress up like a wanker in a high-vis and a hard hat, cool people won't do it and then uncool normal people will have to choose between looking like a wanker and not losing a limb. When you make it mandatory, everyone can pretend to be cool by bitching about it while keeping all their limbs.

Fuck off. I'd get a nervous breakdown watching retarded co-workers work without proper safety gear. If you wanna die, do it where it doens't fuck up other people.

bueno.jpg

Common sense and democratic consensus seem the best places to draw the line. The slippery slope is a fallacy for a reason, my dude. Life is short, and I (nor anyone else I suspect) would prefer not to waste too much time having to re-litigate whether or not helmets should be worn at work every time your autistic ass shows up. If something as banal as safety regulations is where you locate any kind of meaningful (un)freedom that justifies autistically posting walls upon walls of text, then the problem would very much seem to be with you, not with sensible safety regulations. This pseudo-religious zeal is most peculiar. What kind of sheltered existence do you live that this of all things can put you on your horse?
Am I letting myself be trolled here? Possible. But as long as the volume originally posted text remains in excess of the responses, it is not a very good troll.

What else did you expect from europe’s Wretched refuse?

America is the worst mistake made in the entirety of written history. What was once a wild frontier thriving and habitable for Europeans is now stripped of it’s fruit. The chestnut killed by an Asian fungus with many others. A land that once rich with virgin forest and wild beasts, now sprouts shrubs and deer where bison once roamed.
the 2nd Reich vanquished by europe’s bastards, same as the 3rd.
Once a foreign shore beckoning the adventurous, now a domestic beach inhabited by rootless humans.
Once a haven the free, now a haven for the greedy.
An unpopular revolution bought and paid for by a banker hamilton.
Two warnings left by it’s first president, to avoid political parties and foreign involvement, could not be further from it’s present state.
Warned by every single one of it’s founders to expatriate negroes, and has not.
In it’s entire history, had only one worthy leader, andrew jackson, the only man in modern history to beat the bank.
By the time of it’s civil war it was once again indebted to a central bank, this time permanently.
50 years later this bank became the federal reserve, sold by congress to the highest bidders.

Among the minority who favored the 1st American revolution the primary cause was high taxation, all of which was limited to merchandise.
Today, the following is taxed:
Land
Monetary Income
Automobiles (through mandatory insurance)
Citizenship (through mandatory health insurance)
Merchandise

what is next for entitlement ideology?
