What a piece of shit. Just goes to show you that capitalism transcends any sort of racial identity and the liberals that hope for a minority to address the issues that minorities face in America are wasting their time. Of course, Ben has never worked a day in his life so how would he know how his people suffer?
Three times nothing is three times more than they have. Meanwhile Trump gave billions to his rich friends.

This is what happens when you don't read volume III of Capital.
> In a similar way, the circumstance that the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages formed its hierarchy out of the best brains in the land, regardless of their estate, birth or fortune, was one of the principal means of consolidating ecclesiastical rule and suppressing the laity. The more a ruling class is able to assimilate the foremost minds of a ruled class, the more stable and dangerous becomes its rule.
Wow as if rents were high enough. Rents are probably the biggest reason for why young people today are less optimistic about the future than their parents. America needs to die.
Because pushing poor people further into poverty is what Jesus would do huh? Hypocritical nigger, only someone as stupid as Carson would say poverty "is a state of mind". America only gets sicker as a society.

In the recent bill that eliminated banking oversight, there were whole sections of the bill devoted to subsidized housing and section 8 that basically turned them into rent farms. The best part is that if your income rises above the poverty line, they basically jack up your rent and put the increase into escrow and managed "on behalf of the tenant." Ostensibly they're supposed to get that money even they eventually leave section 8 or whatever, but the property manager basically has the right to deny the tenant that money for any or no reason at all.
Financially successful black Americans can have some of the absolute shittiest politics. That's not just extrapolating from Ben Carson and Clarence Thomas either. They genuinely believe they made it on their owns from nothing.

How did rents triple?! You're telling me that rent control kept the price of housing to one-third of the market rate?
It's easy for privileged "middle-class" (I hate that term but you know what I mean) kids to say that people shouldn't vote for the Democrat Party. But when the difference between voting Democrat or Republican is Shaniqua the single mom with 4 kids from 4 different fathers having access to affordable Section 8 Housing or not, I can understand why Shaniqua votes Democrat. Who would blame her?
If you are an able-bodied man, you will never get welfare anyways. Besides maybe $200/month worth of food stamps if you are lucky. So I can understand abstaining from voting for the average poster here. Since most of us are able-bodied men.

Well think about it, why the fuck else would they jack up the price of rent by triple in da hood if gentrifying hipster cucks aren't willing to pay that price?
Dominic Roberts
do you have anything besides piss weak idpol?

Do you know how the real estate market works? If a landlord jacks up your rent by 3x, the tenant has the option to go shop around and see what other landlords are charging. Landlords can't just charge whatever they want. They compete with each other.
I'm not saying that what they are doing is right. I'm just explaining reality.
Julian Diaz
Raising rents in general is bad. I don't understand why you let yourself get castrated by "market forces."
Christopher Taylor
I never said raising rents is good. You just came to that assumption. If a landlord jacks up the rent 3x, he's not doing that for shits and giggles. He's doing that because he knows the tenant can't get a better deal elsewhere.
I'm self-employed (not a landlord but same idea). I do business with the highest bidder. When I don't get any offers, I lower my commission. Simple as that.
Alexander Torres
they have the option of starving to death or stealing shit to get by. the idea that the tenant is in a position of power here is laughable, as is the idea that they do it because only hipsters will pay the price. everyone will pay the price because there is no other choice.
Henry Brooks
So basically then you are telling me that the rent-controlled prices that the tenant previously had are one-third of the market rate. Which is exactly what I said. If the tenant doesn't have the leverage to get a better deal, then that is the market rate.
Henry Morris
And I'm not saying that it is right what the landlords are doing. Now the ball is in your court. Are you gonna do revolution now or not? An incel killed 10 people and injured like 16 more because he didn't get laid. Men have been motivated to kill for less. lmao. The left is afraid of the streets.
Jason Edwards
yeah the incel will definitely be getting laid now einstein
Samuel Collins
Well if they allow congenial visits in Canada (I have no idea) there are probably some sick fuck crazy ass bitches that would want his babies. But that is beside the point.
The point: Men have been motivated to kill for less than poverty (in Alek's case, muh dik, muh dik). When are leftists finally going to take to the streets for real and kill a motherfucka?
Cameron Cruz
And it's not like the left is winning the hearts and minds of the people either. So democratic socialism is out as an option. Bernie Sanders is a fucking socdem, not even a demsoc, and he lost to Hillary.
I've tried my best personally as well to point out why capitalism is fucked to right-wingers and even liberals and they are too stubborn. Everyone just points to USSR, Cuba, Maoist China, Venezuela (who are socdem, not even socialist), etc. and says "look socialism has failed time and time again."
People have accepted their slavery. They think it's perfectly fine that someone can just inherit profit or win a bunch of capital through the start-up lottery ("they earned it") and can then rent this capital to wage cucks and pay wage cucks a fraction of what they produce. Because "if it wasn't for the capital, the workers wouldn't have anything." Then I say "the employers need the workers to make productive use of their capital more than the workers need the employer. The worker just needs to shoot the employer and seize the means of production." Then they say "but that's murder, that's theft." The working class is spooked bro. I tried. I tried my best to get them to see the light.
Hunter Bennett
Maybe if they didn't act like the sheboons and niggers that most of them are that wouldn't happen. Look at the man who is raising rent prices himself. Black, accomplished neurosurgeon, and rose from nothing. I know incredibly poor whites and they commit no comparable amount of crime in comparison to poor blacks.
It scares the shit out of me that this crazy fuck also successfully separated twins who were conjoined at the head/brain. The left hasn't done shit in the west in a very long time.
I'm telling you right now, if I was broke, I would jack a motherfucka and catch a body if I really had to. At least in prison they'd have to feed me, shelter me, clothe me, provide me with weights and books, etc. I have that lumpen gangsta mentality. The western working class is classcucked beyond redemption. Almost all of them have moral qualms about murder and theft except for a small minority of the lumpens. There is no saving them.
Joshua Foster

President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."
Dylan Mitchell
That all said, the Democrats are not doing a good job of getting white working-class men on their side to begin with. I'm not a burger so I can't speak too much for life as a working-class white in America. But here in Canada if you are an able-bodied white working-class male, you ain't getting SHIT. Welfare goes to single moms and refugees. And I'm neither of those things. The closest thing to welfare for an able-bodied non-refugee man here is a cozy government job. So there is zero incentive for me to vote Liberal here. So I just don't vote. Or I vote for a fringe party as a protest vote.
In America, able-bodied men can get food stamps. The GOP has cracked down a lot on food stamps I hear. So I guess you could say that $200/month worth of food stamps is the only bargaining chip the Democrats have to sway the white working-class man.
Jaxson Rivera
America is one of the few countries that has been bourgeois from the very start.
As opposed to a slave society or dark age feudal one?
Carter Ramirez
i.e. Not a Monarchy. Rule by landlords from the start.
Completely by accident, though. Washington was a Roman Senator LARPer.
Hudson Price
Why do you want welfare so much?
Wouldn't you rather have good work with decent wages?
American wages are stagnant af. Like, if you work the lowest jobs here (something like $7-$8 an hour, which would be roughly $2.50 in 1980), and somehow manage to get on welfare, you'll probably still need to find a situation with extraordinarily low (or no) rent if you want to have a roof over your head. Just bust inflation and raise wages - this should be a no-brainer for Dems, but they've been taking Clinton pills for years. The thing is, they've overall been winning demographically this way - IE the GOP only holds a majority right now due to gerrymandering and the presidency due to the EC consistently swinging their way when the vote doesn't - totally by accident of course. They could win people over by representing workers and opposing the rich, and maybe it would even be sweeping - but they're actually the more popular party and it's possible that "Republican-lite" is actually the most successful model they could take right now. Unambiguously a bad thing, o'course.
Unfucking American labor and dismantling neoliberal trade policy would probably have priority to welfare, I assume, since most people want to work.
The "white working class man" is bullshit, tho. Overall working class already leans towards Dems, and the white working class (or the peak low-income manual labor type that that's a euphemism for) isn't even the overall key GOP demographic.
Thomas Hughes
The Liberals are not getting us that either tho. lol. Here in Canada they actually raised the minimum wage in Ontario by 20% to $14CAD/hr ($10.91/hr US). But what good does that do me if no one wants to hire an autistic NEET who has been out of work for 3 years?
I work in the underground economy instead and manage to get paid a lot more than I could hope to make in a traditional labour market. No HR roastie is gonna wanna hire my ass. In the gig economy, you don't need to submit a resume. You don't need to attend a job interview. Which is where I'm weak as an autist. They just give you tasks to do and if you are good, you keep getting more tasks. I'm an independent contractor and I don't really have an employer, I have "clients".
I would like to see conditions improve in the gig economy as well. But minimum wage laws do not apply to the gig economy. Labour laws are antiquated compared to the realities of today. I have to compete with other independent contractors for clients. And I have to give a cut to a rentier company. I can set my schedule, the rentier company usually stays out of my hair unlike a traditional employer. They just want their cut on ever job I complete for a client. And they expect me to abide by some basic rules.
And no I'm not a Uber/Lyft cuck. I work from my home office in my parents' basement and whenever my clients call me, I respond to them via text message because I hate talking on the phone. I don't do calls. It's more time efficient just to text or preferably shoot an email. I do a lot of multi-tasking. When someone calls you, it's like they expect you to drop everything for them. Pretty comfy tbh. If I didn't pick up the phone on a client in a traditional workplace, my employer would fire my ass. My contractor don't give a fuck because they make their money on commission.
Colton Reed
I was going to guess you were a whore of some kind. I've been in the position of having to awkwardly try and tell an interviewer about my 'contract' experience and beat around it as much as possible. Tbh, you could probably get wagie work (again?), but having had both I don't fault you at all for choosing not to - all I'm saying is you don't sound that autistic.
Your minimum wage kicks the shit out of ours, though.
There are places here, though, where there are so many (legit) jobs that you can get job offers without even having to offer a resume. Not in my fucking state, but over in California.
Thomas Reed
And admittedly the gig economy isn't exactly. There's this black guy in Virginia who works for GrubHub as an "independent contractor". And he works 7 days a week, 60+ hours/week and he ends up grossing only like $1,200/week. BEFORE expenses. Hopefully all that gas, mileage and depreciation on his car written off come tax time.
I have thought about working for UberEats (I wouldn't do Uber/Lyft because I'm not a sociable person. I don't mind being a food delivery driver though. All that driving for not the greatest pay though and people stiffing you with no tips sucks though). But auto insurance where I live is very expensive. And I'd worry about my car breaking down and reducing the shelf life of my car.
Jeremiah Cook
isn't exactly the greatest*
Carter Gonzalez
don't do this something like 40-50% of drivers actually lose money driving for them
Cameron James
Oh no!
Elijah Stewart
15 hours a week at federal min. wage is roughly 2 hours per day - presumably a part-time position. Which means about $14.5 per day. About $5300 per year. Math could be off, but I think 35% of that would be $1855. Meaning people living in these houses and making that would have about $3400 before expenses. That's about $400 less than the lowest income households spend on food per year, according to the USDA.
What about this isn't just forcing them to rely more on the government?
Nolan Thompson
Rent is bad. No one should be paying it. Your landlord should be dead and his family should also be dead.
Blake Brooks
People having to work more than 2 hours a day to pay for their own shit.
Thomas Morgan
Except if there are no jobs hiring them that pay better, they'll need to rely more on welfare. After increasing their rent to this degree, pretty much any risk they take to better themselves will rely on aid. The alternative is a enabling this to be a program which encourages starvation (and potentially homelessness) - which is a completely retarded option, considering the US literally has piles of grain rotting in silos because we produce more than farmers want to sell.
Creating need and poverty is a consistently poor approach to incentives and stimulus. In this case, not only does it do nothing to improve the quality of jobs available, its "success" essentially hinges on forcing the desperate to further oversaturate the pool of workers. If it "works" it will artificially decrease demand for work and potentially decrease pay as well, rendering the only static thing whatever government benefits they're eligible for. Success means increasing reliance, here, which makes it a shitty plan.
If they're working 2 hours a day, it's most likely because of a dire jobs situation in which only minimal part-time stuff is available. In this scenario, the reform would put them >$400 in the red. Even if they worked full time at or just above minimum wage, it's cutting into their savings without offering an actual alternative. Meanwhile, housing prices don't stop inflating. If they were allowed to save more of that money, they would have more options.
Asher Thompson
The only reason why rent is even a thing is because home ownership is unaffordable for a lot of people.
Real estate is also a bad investment. With the money you waste on a down payment, there is tremendous opportunity cost there. You could have invested that money in the S&P 500, which is a more solid performer than real estate. And then you have to pay a mortgage and bills anyways. I just don't see how it is better than renting. Baby boomers have been brainwashed into seeing home ownership as an investment. That's why they buy houses and rent them out. Or rent out a room or a basement in a home.
Hunter Diaz
Think about it, name one other investment that the average Joe makes where they go take out a huge amount of debt from a bank. Student loan debt doesn't come close to a mortgage. Real estate in the west is a fucking rip-off. I'm probably going to just rent for the rest of my life.
While you think the landlord is exploiting him, he's the one getting cuckolded by market forces when the housing price tanks. And he has to serve the debt on the mortgage. He has to pay the bills. He has to fix my shit the same day it breaks like a cuck. Apparently a lot of landlords actually lose money. And the only thing they are banking on is the hope that property values go up so that they make money on paper.
Eli Taylor
So is everyone else under capitalism Not all of them, and they get away with handing over that responsibility to the tenant most of the time anyway Lol, he can decide when to fix it whenever he wants unless the state tells the fucker to do it by set times.
And don't give me that bullshit on "muh freedumb to choose in a marget," you know damn well most people who rent don't have the money to act accordingly. If you do then that's the situation you (and a few others) find yourself in - not anyone else.
Anthony Bailey
There are renters who are powerless. Particularly Section 8 Housing peeps. There are people like me however who voluntarily choose to rent because home ownership is a bad deal. If my landlord is a jackass, worst case scenario, I have to wait out a 1-2 year lease contract. I would try to negotiate an early termination of my lease if my landlord was an unbearable stingy lazy bastard. My current landlord (Dad) is pretty chill. I'm going to really shop around for a quality landlord though after I finally move out. I'm willing to pay more in rent for a reliable, dependable landlord. Maybe if some of my mom's friends are still alive I'll rent a basement or room from one of them since I know they'll be reliable. Home ownership in this market just doesn't make any fucking sense. The real estate bubble in my city recently burst. The kike bankers have been telling me as recently as last year that a mortgage is a wise investment and that the housing prices will continue to go up. I told them to fuck off. I'm glad I listened to my gut instinct.
Brandon Garcia
I just wanted to correct your idealistic view of how renting works. I could care less about your decision to rent or to own property; in the long run, this form of ownership will cease to exist. As for the here and now, you should probably look into tenants' unions. Your situation might look good now, but unless you have a guaranteed job set aside for you through "networking" or nepotism this gig model won't pan out a few years or even months from now.
Noah Evans
So petit-bourgeois. I have nothing against you, but it clearly affects your thinking.
Who gives a shit if it's morally right or wrong? We're against it for practical reasons. And no, mindless terrorism doesn't get anyone anywhere. You need to build some level of mass action if you wanna change anything
You need to stop arguing with people and start organizing with people. No one is going to take the call to arms of some random person they barely even know.
I dunno where you live user, but in the US I think they've started restricting the kind of books you can get, and you'd most likely end up doing hard labor for cents on an hour, while you live in a shit cell and eat shit food. If you join a prison gang maybe you might be able to get around some of those restrictions, but from what I hear, they're very ethnically organized.
I thought NDP was the leftist party in Canada. Why would you consider the Liberals at all. Doesn't matter in the end I guess, just like your vote.
The South is weird. It went from slave society to somewhat feudal society with sharecropping until farms got mechanized, and then it's also always had a large portion of military involvement.
