Apparently they've been murdered by the hundreds since mid-2017 and no one seems to give a shit, when they even know who the hell Rohingyas even are to begin with. Why is every Israeli-Palestinian incident bombastically reported in the mainstream media but much more catastrophic incidents like the Aug 2017 Tula Toli massacre where units of the Burmese army literally behaved like Einsatzgruppen are hardly touched upon?

First of all, Chinese-Burmese relationships are actually quite shaky because of ethno-nationalist anti-Chinese sentiment in Burma, in part caused by Kokang (a Sinitic ethnic group related to Han Chinese) separatism in Eastern Burma.
Let's say Burma is aligned with China, and this is a good thing for world socialism. How exactly does that qualify as a justification for the government to conduct genocidal killings? This is on the same level as the US government accommodating the Khmer Rouge to stick it to the Vietnamese.
The Holocaust also started as an "expulsion". Many genocides didn't start out as full-blown genocidal killings and turned only gradually towards extermination. There is a good deal of evidence that what was first an expulsion camapign of Rohingyas is turning step by step into a proper genocide.
