Outside of 8ch I have literally never once heard anyone claim to be a monarchist, and I have lived all over the US my whole life. It's not an exaggeration to say that at least 25% of Americans could probably not say what 'monarchy' even means. Also, there are actual national libertarian parties in the United States and people have actually heard of them, and they make no mention of monarchy ever.
