MEANS GETTING SIEZED

When Kelloggs announced it was going to close operations in Venezuela just days before the elections (in order to undermine them), the workers expropriated the factory and resumed production under their own management.

Look how fucking happy those workers are! That's what socialism looks like.

This should be common practice in most countries. Why not make use of factories on your own national property?

All niggers.

This is good but is it bad though that that I laughed a bit at how he's making his dramatic declaration with that stupidly labeled Kellogg's box in has hands.

Baboon poster go away.

Undermine what exactly? Venezuela's price caps and badly managed farms have pretty much ruined the market so there's no much money to be made anymore. Which is also why "resumed production" is pointless since the factory neither has a source of raw materials nor a place to sell them above cost. Within a few months it will either be abandoned or formally closed.

No, under the government's management. Check your sources, VZ nationalized it like they nationalized most other farms and food processors. This is state capitalism.

Maduro took control of the planet. Not the workers. Maduro, through his military. The same people shooting people outside of the bread lines which now exist. This is essentially fascism.

Because the factory is part of a larger production chain that Venezuela's government has screwed up. Farm production is at an all time low due to farmers being unable to sell their product above the cost of production, and retailers are unwilling to source or sell product as are also unable to sell above the cost of production. Business has stopped on both sides of the factory.

Same applies to Chavez's nationalization of US oil companies' operations in VZ. Production fell hard once companies were no longer allowed to easily sell their product (extracted oil), causing VZ to import oil as they lack the production capabilities themselves. This has caused brownouts and blackouts.

Venezuela has imported oil for decades. Their oil is very "heavy," with a high sulfur content. They import lighter grades of crude to mix with it before refining.

also inb4 ban the ☭TANKIE☭ method of building factories rather than nationalizing them is the better method here. So is the Maoist philosophy of ripping off US firms and competing against them directly.

all the better reason not to nationalize industries that are reliant upon imports from capitalists

Ever hear of the Kirov (formerly Putilov) Works?

Please don't fit so perfectly into the stupid right-wing stereotype that communists are all short-sighted feel-good hippies.

There is absolutely no way this factory will continue production at anywhere close to the level it was before. And even if it does, it will not for long, because it's going to run out of materials very quickly.

Also
Because if you start seizing every factory, foreign investors will stop building factories. The solution is not to seize factories, dance around a box of cereal, and pretend that everything is going to go on all fine and dandy.

If they had been able to set up some sort of barter with Iran or Libya they could have broken this dependency. That would have made it more difficult for the US to use financial weapons to keep the Venezuelan government in line, but alas it was not to be.

This for God's sake. The point of all this isn't to have a jolly time seizing factories, it's to build a functional, fair society. There is far more that goes into operating a factory than flipping a switch on a conveyor.

They aren't getting any more investment anyway. The government might as well boost morale with a token takeover.

was only nationalized after a strike by workers, not by pissfights between the owner and the soviet government.

This makes my dick hard

mestizos are too low Autism Level to run country

user, the goal is to end capitalism, not to keep foreign capitalists happy

But the factory falls apart without that foreign investment you and all those employees are fucked

It's worked good enough for China so far.

yes but of course, the workers won't survive without the capitalist. And why should we try and throw out the capitalist in the first place? I know this one guy who worked hard his entire life and created a great product, and now he's reaping the benefit of all that work he put in. Should we really be making these people our enemy? Dare i say, he should be rewarded more so by society, it's taxes which are the real enemy.

okay, so you're a brainlet, so I'll explain this slowly.
Venezuela's economy was an export heavy economy, where a huge prtion of the annual GDP depended on oil exports. The price of oil is unstable, we have seen many price crashes and booms, even though we have only used on a mass scale for less than a century.
IN Venezuela, the economy was incredibly one sided, so when the oil prices crashed, so did their economy. Yes, Chavez's welfare programs that he produced through oil profits arguable made the whole thing worse, because they sucked the money out of the government's hands, but you can't fault the dude for wanting people to have eduction and healthcare.
If the oil, and indsutries and everything you can imagine was privately owned the country would have still been hit by the crash.
If the clone of fucking Richard Nixon who has a portait of Margaret Thatcher attached to his face at all times was leading the country at the time, they would have been plunged into a crises regardless.

Nixon was a Keynesian dumdum

t. gusano

Fucking porky, rofl.

Saw this article on Reuters a few months back, Kellogs basically said "cool, just doesnt fucking use the trademarks", which I will imagine they will rebrand it "Fatherlandflakes" or some bs. Good on the Venezuelan workers, this is aes.

Its worked well for the billionaires for sure

...

I laughed because OP just said fucking Kellogg's is undermining an election

What is this fucktarded strawman. The factory doesn't have the raw material with which to produce any. The government's income is entirely dependent on oil which is at its lowest prices ever, so it cannot subsidize the factory. Where are the raw materials coming from then? They just aren't coming, duh. That's the whole bloody point of foreign investment. So now you can be proud of your retarded, closed factory. You sure showed those capitalists by going bankrupt.

What do you think a factory does? Burn money? It makes profit, with that profit it can buy new raw material, its not a bottomless pit that "foreign investors" throw money into out of the goodness of their heart.

ITT: Everyone turns into a leftcom or a capitalist that thinks workers cannot run anything themselves.

I'm sure those dumb spics did not think about where they are going to get raw material from. Nope. Some 19 year old liberal on the internet knows better.
