Im hispanic too. The whole idea of kicking your family out just seems like so fucking wasp american. Hispanic families always have some uncle sleeping on the couch
Judge rules 30 year old man must move out of parents house
I wonder about those cultures, though - I really don't think Americans are equipped to deal with this. I've tried working and living at home, and it kinda becomes working to live at home - which just isn't worth it when you're still treated like a child. I don't know if it's better or worse in Indiastan, but here it's like going from one boss to another. It's not dignified, and you're stuck with at least one boss even if you get fired - and your option to ditch your folks is maybe to go live with somebody who's fucking you and willing to give you a free room or a deal because you aren't going to get your own place or be able to even split rent.
I struggle to think of a reason to work beyond the shame of not having work. "No shame" is not an option here.
No.
I was a 'housewife' for a while. It's harder than a day job. NEETs are totally demoralized afaik. Going from NEET to efficient housewife is borderline impossible, it requires maintaining a rigid schedule of your own just to like mob the floors and shit.
They probably did talk to him or tried to talk to him about it. I don't know. I suspect that this happened for a long time over a period of years and it was probably discussed multiple times. Maybe just projecting here, though.
Not really sorry for him. Or sorry for the parents. Fuck all three.
Er…
Well, housing's a part of it. And the helicopter parenting thing - yeah, I don't think he was prepared. Thing is we ought to have self-sufficiency before age 21. Increasingly, I think, we treat our kids like kids, even when they no longer actually are - and when they react to it, we use it as justification. The thing is, teenagers had it right all along - once your balls drop, your parents aren't supposed to be your boss. Whatever authority they have over you should be symbolic, for you to observe - instead we have this culture of financial domineering and monetary "support" where parental authority is power-backed threats and the hallmarks of traditional parenting are completely missing. I, for instance, never learned my parents' trade - I was given excuses as a child, only to later realize it was all bullshit and the only good answer was lack of time. So I was spanked as a kid, you know, and told not to say bad words, and to be nice and accepting and patient and all that, but when it came time to learn something useful and practical there was nothing. Many such cases, I've heard.
I, uh… meant mop.
But mobbing the floors is another job easier than being a housewife.
And what a terrible mess I've made of my life
Oh, what a mess I've made of my life
No, I've never had a job
Because I've never wanted one
I've seen you smile
But I've never really heard you laugh
So who is rich and who is poor?
I cannot say…oh
You are your mother's only son
And you're a desperate one
Oh…
I heard about this and some things first off
1: Most tenants have a six month waiting period before they can physically be evicted. So even the judges ruling cannot supersede written law. Moreso its just an ultimatum
2: The owners must still cooperate. The parents probably aren't going to actually enforce the judges ordering and if they don't it's nullified. As too it would be should he manage to find a job which would thereby negate why he was taken to court in the first place.
3: The presumption that he leaves but than returns would thereby protect him from this happening again do too double jeopardy.
This is just disgusting. They know damn well their son isn't going to find a damned thing, especially after this story came out.
Unless there was a contractual agreement somewhere, as far as I understand it he would have been living with his parents without any formal agreement, and they could have just kicked him out at any time as a trespasser. There is probably something asinine here where the courts are just bulldozing someone because he's an acceptable target, and they can't find some other pretext to throw him into the gutter (and it is into the gutter, this guy is guaranteed homeless and probably dead within a year tops).
This is a crime against humanity itself.

Man, they did Unruhe dirty.
