A king can achieve the same things as a dictator who can achieve the same things as a president who can achieve the same things as a violent uprising of the proletariat who seize the means of production who can achieve the same things as an AI who takes control over its human masters. The goal of the political system is to get shit done. The "shit getting done" can be the economic system socialism, and this can be achieved by any political system, even if it is harder for one political system to achieve this in place of another political system. A king can unironically be socialist if his goal is to get rid of debt-based currency, bring democracy to the workplaces, and grant equal ownership of the means of production to all people under his rule. One might say stalin was a true socialist, yet he ruled with an iron fist. He was fair but he had immense power over the people living "below" him in soviet russia. I believe there have been socialist presidents but they were hardly ever able to achieve actual socialism because of the restrictions that the ballot box held over them. As somebody who believes that socialism is human nature, I am inclined to believe that the Incan federation was, indeed, socialist, even though they obviously didn't know about the concept of socialism, even if they had a state religion, even if they had a king. Anyone who disagrees with this is most likely a revisionist who wants to mislead us from the fact that socialism is human nature because authoritarian political systems have always existed alongside it. Some people accuse the incan federation of having a renter's class. I'll believe it when i see hard evidence for it, otherwise i am inclined to believe that this is a revisionist lie being told by those archaeologists who work for capitalist gain. Fuck imperialist revisionists.
