The politiboro votes overwhelmingly to raise alcohol prices. This immediately gives us 30 extra monies, which are split between civil tech and computerization. Our industrial power has raised enough to invite lybia, syria, cambodia, and laos to the COMECON. We invite the first two, but we lack the military power to aid the last two without compromising the Indian-Pakistani War. Additionally, our relations with China have dropped to 10; inviting the SE asians will anger the Chinese and trigger them to probe our Far Eastern territories. However, we are playing Trot Gang, so I'll put it to a vote: When we have the military strength to do so, should we invite the SE asians to the COMECON?

There are two other things to vote on as well. Should we go down the civil computing or the OGAS tree, and should we detente with the Americans?

Intervening deeper is a waste of money, join the sanctions, then provide full support for the trade unions.

France is quite complicated. Supporting gaulists in France if relations are low is only going to decrease their chances (Evil USSR -> Supporting the opposition -> fuck it), and supporting non-ruling party will decrease relations. So, you need to support socialists first and sign the agreement. Not worth it, I'd say.
