The vast majority of people drinking fluoridated water never touch a page of communist theory. Coincidence? Not likely.

Is it possible to radicalise libertarian/quasi-dissident types to becoming leftists? Clearly they admire the revolutionary nature of communists, but something prevents them from turning. How should we tailor propaganda to radicalise this group?

First step is to get them to actually fucking learn about capitalism instead of only digesting and regurgitating propaganda about it.

I think people like richard wolff are indispensable to the cause for this point. I think there is some truth in the idea that what a classical liberal/Petersonite is to fascism, a bernie voter is to socialism/communism. I can fully imagine people like Jesse Ventura and Jimmy Dore turning into real socialists, if we make some effort to rebrand and (re)educate. Even Lenin began with little more than a reading group.

What I'm more concerned with is the SJW liberal faction of the left, prevalent in groups like Democrat Cops of America. These people will turn everyone away from us. What is a good strategy to control and maintain some sort of real socialist hegemony in these groups? Pic related

I think the liberal framing of identity politics is the problem. Black panthers was id-pol done right in my opinion.

if it's class oriented taking identity into consideration isn't identity politics but making the class struggle concrete as experienced by the people you adress, their peculiar forms of exploitation and oppression as an expression of the class conflict

it becomes identity politics when the focus is set on identity itself on its own merit, which makes liberal and reactionary identity politics indistinguishable

to elaborate, this isn't me being "class reductionist" and a rationalist
on the example of the women issue to take identity on its own there might very well be obvious conflicts just based on biology itself, however it is exactly the issues related to class that are what drive history

even if we granted "race realism" as a given, which we don't, those differences between men do not play any role in the matter of socialist liberation as they're not the driving force of society
those things don't mean that identity doesn't matter, but it only matters to socialism insofar as it relates to class
which is why i make that distinction for what to consider identity politics or not on whether the focus is on class or not rather than if it adresses identity in general, that'd lead to confusion imo
