I am the owner of Marxistpedia.org and after talking about it as a reply earlier this week it had gained some interest here so I decided to post it as a thread. Marxistpedia is an online encyclopedia dedicated to providing a coherent platform about Marxism, we want to demystify Marx from people who make his work out to be too dense to read and to make his work readily comprehensible.
Marxistpedia opposes Stalinism insofar it does not consider it a form of Marxism, although it may be considered Marxian in that it is clearly inspired by Marxist ideas. Marxistpedia rejects the Stalinist claim that the various Stalinist states were examples of socialism or workers' states, and limits itself to presenting reliable information about these events, as well as the opinions of socialist tendencies.
Marxistpedia acknowledges some Stalinist contributions to Marxist theory while maintaining that many Stalinist claims (e.g. the idea of 'socialist commodity production') are inconsistent with a Marxist analysis. Marxistpedia is not "Anti-Stalinist" insofar it does not necessarily subscribe to any particular "Anti-Stalinism". For instance, the Anti-Stalinism of Bordigism is very different than that of Trotksyism, as the former only opposes Stalinism for allowing cooperation with reformist groups and for supporting the state capitalist USSR, while the latter criticizes almost every aspect of Stalinism. Marxistpedia thus does not criticize Stalinism from a certain angle, but rather presents the criticisms of different tendencies.
For the time being I am opening up signups for Zig Forums. Here's a quick start to some of our pages.
Mostly in that Stalin was just very visibly shite, whereas Lenin sucked less so people attribute it to theory. Hail Mary'n'such: Stalin had genuinely great accomplishments during WWII, and was a great leader in the authoritarian sense. But he also did fucked up things and (probably) went nuts as he neared the end of his life.
How does such a bad idea somehow attract such decent production value? Wikipedia already has pages for anything that you would need to put on here. The name is awful, and "Stalinism"? Really?

Oh yes I forgot about all the successful left-communist and Trotskyite revolutions we've had
How multiple people in this thread forget Maoism and Cuba is a bit baffling. Apologia for Stalin's fuckups and idolization of his period are the only distinctive traits of Stalinism. Albania, Romania, Hungary - those are out.
Subtract said apologia and you just have ML. And more broadly, you have Marxism. Stalinism is fringe.

I phrased this weirdly - I meant to say those countries are no longer socialist.
