We all know, that every time we engage in consuming activities, we are playing porky's game and are shoveling more cash into his pockets. Because we as leftists are aware how this economic system works, we should restrict our consuming behaviour as much as possible. Instead we should donate a fair amount of our money to leftist organisations, instead of buying useless junk.
Off course, this doesn't change the current system and it doesn't replace an actual revolution. But it is better than keeping a consumerist lifestyle, like everyone else does.
Donating money to random, ineffectual petty-bourg parties is a bad idea. In which case choose wisely. I think most of your money should be spent simply on one's own well-being and survival in capitalism. If you have some spare cash, spend it on improving yourself (/lit/ and /fit/) and buy a gun if you can. Until there is a real revolutionary project from a worker's movement, your hard-earned cash stays with surviving. If you're rich then spend more on strengthening institutions that strengthen and encourages class consciousness for proles (a non-class collaborationist union, etc). That's my 2 cents.

lrn2invest, become the capitalist.
Robert Mitchell
Pay repirations to blacks and Palestinians.
Isaac Howard
lol never said that.
You don't need much money for self improvement. Actually, you can get literature and fitness almost for free.
What defines a "real" project?! A leftist newspaper/newssite is an important tool to spread class consciousness! Waiting for a "real" movement is like waiting for the return of Jesus Christ!
Liam Cruz
this is what I call peak bourgeois mentality.

I'll keep buying vidya, thanks

I'm going to keep spending inexcusable sums of money on anime figures.

Pirate and Steal everything you can safely get away with.
Destroy their distribution networks by offering those resources to everyone you can and teaching them how to get steal and pirate too.
Spend your spare money on revolutionary projects and bettering yourself.
Help capitalism kill itself, let its inherent contradictions fuel you.
Jeremiah Sanders
Create infrastructure for independent internet networks. Provide our own service, host and store our own content, and offer the service to communities (possibly sub-legally, to bypass entrenched regional monopolies without having to go through courts).
Build small factories, and provide free job training for large workforces. Distribute media in all forms and living formats which will educate people in trades. Keep digital and physical libraries of all such data.
Engage in innovative agricultural techniques which will reduce reliance on foreign countries for cash crops and corporate giants for food. Recruit enough hands that individual labor in any of these things I've mentioned is fairly modest and leaves time for most individuals working on assembly to also potentially work on programming and farming.
Luke Watson
Mindless consumerist sheep. Porky loves "leftists" like you.
Lucas Jones
Most people here use the "There is no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism" meme as an excuse for their petty-bourgeois lifestyle. Shitposting in a obscure imageboard is the most revolutionary activity they have to offer.
Joshua Cooper
Why not?

I think the correct question is:
Colton Bennett
As a whole: Invest in automation, infrastructure, restoring communities, give money to single mothers/fathers to get some decent food and stressrelief for their kids and themself, get food and shelter for homeless start bookclubs, read theory, start co-ops and all that stuff that improves everyday working class lifes and is a good and healthy example for other working class areas. It's so easy, just look around your enviroment and look for what could be "easy" restored. What does you community need and what would effect your enviroment for the greater good?
As a single person: Read books and eat your vegetables, work out and agitate.
Benjamin Ramirez
stock investments unironically. Not now though, wait until after the crash.
Sebastian Long
I think they are joking m8.
Bentley Morales
My community needs less capitalists, rentiers, and assholes. That would solve the homless problem. Nothing short of revolution is going to fix that.
Well you need to build a movement and organize before you do a revolution.
Nolan Anderson
Buy a house, avoid rent. If you have any leftover after this you are a demi bourg, because you'll put it in stocks or other investment vehicles most like.
Logan Murphy
Pay dues and support unions
Sebastian Gray
nah, ill waste my money on overpriced computer pieces and vidyas

Save and be thrifty so you don't have to work.

Buy lots of books and a comfortable armchair.
Ryan Richardson
who gives a shit? I spend it on food, tech, and porn like any normal person. your pic answers your own question, OP. we're all crabs in a barrel.
Benjamin Baker
Basically this
The Right love to say the same argument as hurr you can't be a Communist if you wear clothes or eat food created with underpaid second/third world people or use a car with fuel from imperialism.. You don't have to buy from the United Fruit Company or Apple but just "voting with your wallet" isn't going to stop coca cola union death squads. The idea that you can reform these companies by just not buying anything is idealism and any thousands of dollars you might of given them over a life time is inconsequential to them. The mere fact the United fruit company still exists but just with a name change is proof enough.
If you do anything it's buy local produce to support your local farmers/industries rather then Walmart tier huge supermarkets chains but once again these efforts do not stop the capitalist hellhole we export onto other countries and it's little more then sniffing your own farts, support unions (the right ones) or donate to charities but that's not going to fix anything but your feelings and help some locals out. An Apple buying, starbucks drinking, marvel movie seeing,McDonalds eating,South American chocolate indulging Communist is 100% fine and unless you understand the system we live in it looks hypocritical as fuck but that just contributes to the social democracy meme because then people assume Communism is when you don't have mobile phones or computers.
Tyler Howard
Never claimed you did. Was only making a statement. You asked a question and I was answering it. True. But that's besides the point. I suppose I could just steal shit and what not because that's "free", but just as a general rule for what to spend money on one should do so for self-improvement.
A proletarian movement that has revolutionary potential. So far, communism is dead and until there is a new worker's movement, it will stay dead. Funding institutions is fine, but like I said you have to choose wisely and not waste it on ineffectual bullshit. It is not simply "bourgeois mentality" to act in your self-interest if you are not part of the bourgeoisie. Being homeless, starving, unhealthy, and stupid is not good if you claim to be a communist. If you truly believe what your OP pic says, then there is nothing wrong with trying to improve and live your life as long as you are class-conscious and dedicated.
Charles Robinson
enjoy wasting money Caffeine is an addictive drug shit taste Comrades who are already dead on account of heart attacks cannot make revolution Same for those who perish as a consequence of complications of diabetes In all fairness, the availability of these goods in first world countries would be sharply curtailed in the short to medium term in the case of a world revolution, simply because you can't produce nearly as much of a good if you don't treat your workers like absolute garbage in order to wring out as much labor as possible.
Aiden Watson
Abolish it.
Camden Evans
Pay for the bullet that the capitalists will pierce your heart with.
Luis Green
I use mine to buy food and shit.
David Butler
donate it to preventing AIDS in the gay and trans community
not necessarily. remember that planned obsolescence is unique to capitalism because companies are supposed to be constantly selling and expanding in order to survive. imagine how much better you could treat workers when you no longer worry about that kind of artificial expense.
Thomas Reed
I don't buy apple products but my point is you can buy a computer or something and still be a dedicated Communist. It's basically how the Right goes "well start your own business" or "go start your Commune and don't touch my money" Don't really give a shit, I'll be fine with drugs in my Socialism, and even then videogames, porn are also addictive but we're not stupid moralists here given Socialism would treat addiction far better. I agree same point as Apple though I agree My point was the same as Apple. Also it's not like you can't enjoy things since doing anything other then reading or working out is basically wasting time, that time you went out to dinner on your birthday was time you could of spent working out. Obviously don't become some fat slob but it's not like you can't enjoy yourself and push for Marxist ideals I agree we couldn't crap out as many different new iphones every single year with a slightly better camera but my point was about how idiots due to life styalism and "go start your own commune" think that Communism would end with like 1 tv per household. It's not like all these factories are going to vanish when the Revolution happens or something
Julian Miller
literally just copy what the mormons do. Don't spend too much on consumerist shit, give to charity (don't tithe tho) and buy canned/dry goods and survival gear for when the shit goes down
honestly wondering why mormons aren't at least kind of socialist. spooks I guess
lmao pay your reparations in israeli shekels
Adam Barnes
Shop locally, give some to good causes you like⦠if you have a significant amount, try to feed people and help the homeless imo
