Assuming neoliberalism keeps going on uninterrupted, how likely is it that fascism will emerge in response?

Also, is there a way to demonstrate how fascism arises in response to runaway capitalism?

Fascism will rise as a result of climate refugees.

The last refugee scare consisted of…what, only a couple hundred thousand syrian refugees? Now imagine millions of trying to pour across borders as their countries are devastated by global warming/climate change.

yeah that's why so many of them were from Africa

Are you retarded or just trying to bait? No one cared for/accepted any non-syrian refugees. It was all about syria.

they just lost their passports

People without passports just get arrested.

Not to mention, the Saudis and their water technology could allow them to create a bunch of client states using water as blackmail.

wut

I thought it was Israel that was developing that shit?

Both countries have it to my knowledge.

Impossible, fascism only appears in response to communism

Mobilization of the petite bourgeoisie to maintain the status quo might be required under other circumstances as well

So why do crypto-fascist parties like Chrysi Avgi, Front National, etc. have so much popular support without any threat of communism in their respected countries?

Fascism will never take over, the spectacular game is to use fascism as the terrifying abyss that rests at the edge of neoliberalism, compelling us to prop it up so that we don't tumble over the edge.

But even if we take the revolutionary stance of tossing ourselves over the edge, we won't get fascism but only further spectacular neoliberalism, again holding out the threat of fascism. A theatrical conflict in a house of mirrors, new non-euclidean geometries, not of hell - but of purgatory. The tedious tinnitus at the end of history. Forever.

Yes, I've even seen some leftists say the neoliberal right is preferable to the fascist right, so the left should support neoliberals as a lesser evilism (looking at you, Chomsky).

I'd like to support fascists killing neoliberals (which is just fascist lite) so I could kill them without feeling bad about it.

Fascism will emerge but not in response to neoliberalism. Fascism will be the final dialectical form of neoliberalism.

The particularities of fascism are a response to a resistant working class and communist movement. However, in the absence of such organization or resistance, regular old right-wing parties are able to achieve the same goals without having to do stuff like build leader cults, organize paramilitary groups, etc.

Because for them, neoliberals have no difference compared to communist.

So i am greek user
Chrysi Avgi is a honeypot the crypto-fascist lubens are traped by there leader (who is paid by the secret service).
Most of there voters are old people who vote as a complain to the system .They have no revolutionary potential .
Btw every pol supported party that wined did nothing really fascist …….;)

ohhh and leftist still win in numbers if we count all the commie partys
Even the retarded socdems pass them in a new poll

This, Lega, FN et al are effectively the slcial democracy of fascism.
The real threat is the new emergent illiberal democracies of Putin, Orban, Erdogan, PiS and Israel,. They are a lot harder to resist because the natural enemy of them liberalism. In that sense, communists are effectively caught out of the discourse.

Makes sense.

The KPD had a sizable presence in the Weimar Republic, and the Italian Socialist Party had a sizable presence around the same time.
