The CIA did issue a report claiming that Soviet citizens consumed more calories than Americans in the early 1980s, but keep in mind that this was the same CIA that believed that the sorry state of Soviet missile defense was just a ruse and that so little research funding going towards the development of acoustic submarine detection systems meant that the USSR had already developed a non-acoustic submarine detection system. There certainly were no famines post 1947, but calories per day may have been a bit lower than in the USA (which is a good thing) and more of those calories came from starch and fewer from meat than in the United States.

OP is true. China has been imperialist since at least 1973 when mao became pals with the west. Since then it has supported anti socialist pro western terrorists in Africa and middle east and became good trade partners and relatively friends with the west, while exploiting Africa and post Soviet countries.
