The state is central to capitalism, even Marx pointed this out. I think you're too hung up on enlightenment liberalism and idolize the nation-state. Even by marxist definitions, a state preserves class society.
Classless (communist) governance on a large scale (country, continent, world) is not a state. This organization can be based on a mix of councilism and syndicalism for example.

Private property requires the state to exist. (How else will you claim ownership over land you're away from?) Landlordship, mortgaging, car rentals, and things of that nature become impossible. Even the classical liberals understood this, which is why they argued for a state large enough to at least defend private property.

You are falsely assuming the mutts play by their own rules. The American deep state is one of the most dangerous political entities in human history.

At this point it makes more sense to follow communization and set up parallel structures so we can prepare for the next crisis and take over doing what capitalism stops being able to do. State socialism will inevitably devolve into bureaucratic mess, and at this point anarchy probably will never pose a threat to global capitalism. The rate of profit is nearing the point where it has fallen too far to sustain capitalism, though. Once we're there (and the next crisis could do it), we need to focus on rebuilding. The feds will still exist as a gang since they have enough plans in place to maintain their existence. Without huge funding or infrastructure they will probably be confined mostly to local politics and trying to turn people to their interests, which at that point would be to build a new empire.
