doesn't have to be directly political/communist, just has to activate social/class consciousness

Communist Black Metal.
Immortal Technique is sometimes really fucking decent, but always a /little/ bit cringe
youtube.com
And yeah, that's the best song of Immortal Tech.
Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots (I think that's the name)
Anything RATM or Zack De La Roche. C'mon. That was an easy one.
Fucking punk Chuwambawamba:

Does Death Grips count?

$lam death metal always struck me as having a very proletarian character, not in lyrical themes mainly in its fan base(urban white "wigger" proles mostly) and deliciously thug atmosphere
I'd go as far to say that the NYDM scene had a very proletarian character in general
youtube.com
The Axis of Perdition may interest any accelerationists lurking ITT. They were an industrial black metal outfit inspired by the likes of Emperor, Throbbing Gristle, Nurse with Wound etc with lyrical themes bearing a striking resemblance to Nick Land's fiction.
hell yeah
In many european nations there is a fuckton of gommunist rap/rock/punk/ska, sometimes even quite popular between the youngs, but the ones i know are all respectively in spanish, italian or french, so i dunno how much it makes sense to share them on an english-speaking imageboard

Is this anti imperialist?
Knutna Nävar ("Closed Fists") was a swedish band associated with one of the communist parties in the 70s (I think the party was called KFML(r) back then). They recorded some pretty good shit tbh, although they mostly made swedish versions of already existing communist songs.

Run The Jewels are pretty class conscious

I used to listen to that Chairman Mao track quite a bit. It's a cool concept, the sample is nice but I think the rest of the beat sounds a bit simple and amateurish, and I wish the rapping was better. The only memorable parts are the sample and the opening line.
>can we make >>>/leftymu/ a thing?
Don't you think having a thread on here (maybe a cyclical) is enough?
Agree
imo it's "No Me Importa". That beat is so fucking nice. The first verse feels kinda out of place ("dont drink and have sex if ur a woman i only like le smart womans") but the rest of it is really good.
…
Yes. Zack's collaborations with Run The Jewels are pretty good too.
is there anything leftist about them? love death grips but ive never paid any amount of attention to the lyrics
is this real?
Another really good one by Knutna Nävar youtube.com
forgot to link: youtube.com
That sounds a lot more like grindcore than death or slam metal.
Share them comrade, some of us here know those languages
We don't want to bore the youth to death, user.
youtube.com
is this the porky anthem?
Devourment is usually categorized as $lam Death Metal by most, they did at least back then use a more raw production in comparison to the more digitized production jobs used in contemporary $lam
Atari Teenage Riot?
Sacred Reich is pretty cool

maoist hardcore
grandson. has lots of lefty music; it's a combo of electronic rock and hip hop.
Stick Up: about a vet who loses everything to the bourgies and goes on a rampage
youtube.com
Blood//Water: General diatribe against bourgie destruction of the environment, makes reference to the killing of the Tsar and family
youtube.com
6:00: Against police brutality generally, references Eric Garner case in particular
anything folk music is proletarian
I dunno, they all seem sort of left-ish from what I've heard them say in interviews (anti-gentrification etc.) and that song is more or less about police harrassment, not necessary a specifically "left" topic but still.
youtube.com
Does folk black metal count?
something for both juche fags and posadists to party to:
anyone know where the beat is originally from? i've watched this video so much i've started to like it
just make an audio download of the video.
I'm interested in where it's from and who made it though.
It's probably really easy to make
probably the head of the RPP made it in his trailer
Does anyone else listen to Dead Kennedys?
youtube.com
wow okay this made me super fucking anxious
Surprised no one has brought up Eyedea yet, imo one of the best rappers of all time
Eyedea & Abilities - Smile
youtube.com
Eyedea ft. Sadistik - Chemical Burns
youtube.com
Eyedea ft. Slug - Forget Me
youtube.com
Eyedea & Abilities - Skydiver
youtube.com
Skydiver and Smile probably my favorite - some of his songs are more "proletarian" than others, but regardless I enjoy it, hope you do too
that song really sticks in my mind now

Scriabin was loved by the old bolsheviks. In todays half-literate age, it is possible that the working class will rediscover and re-invent classical education, literacy etc..? I want the workers to be the party of erudite well-read people, as most bourgeois liberals today listen to banal music and read teenager-oriented books. Its amazing to me how difficult it actually is getting a campus liberal to read something new, watch a new film, piece of music etc…I've had more success introducing working people to culture and political theory. What will a 'cultural marxism' really look like? It is necessary to mobilize the workers,
Les Rallizes Denudes had members highjack an airplane and move to the DPRK don't know anything more left than that

honecker my faithful companion
please get me out of the gutter
i want to work in every VEB
it still hurts so much
honni what's wrong with you?
Now you are dead and I am sitting here
for all the capitalists egoists and fascists
honecker please come back
only you alone will lead us to happiness
i do not need bananas and no reality tv
rtl I never look anyway
and what do our five million unemployed people want?
with video games and coca - cola in cans?
I do not need a fast car Everyone knows exactly
most of the time you are stuck in traffic anyway
on the new highway or in the city center
In the old days everything was still so quiet and empty
honecker please come back
only you alone will lead us to happiness
even if all people hate you now
your state system has never left us
We were all in a party and the Stasi was everywhere
I still prefer a few dead at the wall
as fifty thousand children starved to death
every day in the third world
oh no, I do not want any money from them
honecker please come back
only you alone will lead us to happiness
betrayers in the east - the vultures in the west
in the ddr we would still go best
the wall has to be restored
around the whole ddr
from the Erzgebirge to Rügen
The capital can not deceive us
from or deep into the resin
we all believe in karl marx
honecker please come back
only you alone will lead us to happiness
honecker do not leave me alone
it could all be as it used to be

Here is a greek classic by a famous leftist poet
Its about the lif of a donkey(a metaphor about the workers)
Those that are dry, don't bend
and the ruins hurt.(those fucking ones, it curses,it’s slang )
crutch by crutch (as in an old man walking with a crutch)
in life's catastrophe (ruin)
A days work, it's been a slavery(it's a saying)
They've beaten all the workers, bosses
(In other words they were strict, and they've been beating them)
..workers , bosses
yet they've left me hungry
Up the village, down the village
Uphill and downhill
and in heat exhaustion and in rain (like the saying "rain or sunshine" he worked)
until my soul was coming out (similar too "I worked my *** of")
20 year old Jack-* (γομάρι is pretty much a γαϊδαρο or a donkey in slang, like a Jack-*)
I lifted the whole pit (kind of actually like an archaeological dig or a mining operation. It's a metaphoric sentence in a way.)
And I built in the (village) entrance?(εμπασιά is a hard word, but basically that's the meaning)
The church of the village.
the village's church
Come on victim! come on (smart ass/wiseguy)!
Come on symbol of an eternity!
If you wake up all at once
The earth will be upside-down.
(another saying/proverb.)
and pair with the oxe
with different height and different feet
(plowing) on the by the stream
our boss s land
And in the war, i had everything for everything ( he was prepared)
I carried machine guns
So the peoples can be killed
so the bosses can eat well
(literally) for the bosses food
Look, they others have started to move
all my surroundings have turned red (USSR and China)
another sun has come out
in another ocean, another earth
If you've never listened to These Arms Are Snakes' album Oxeneers its worth a listen to.
The band has explicitly stated that the album is about capitalism; the lyrics talk a lot about alienation and wage slavery.

This is by some guy I follow on twitter
Chumbawamba is pretty explicit if you bother to listen. This album is probably my favourite
^What this user said. I recommend their track revolution basically deals with reform vs revolution.

German HC Punk
for the anarkids, you'll probably like it
i would if it wasn't for their message

Neil Young's Rockin' the Free World is another obvious one, and ironically a lot of burgers think it's a patriotic song because of the chorus.

Capitalism gone mad - Mighty Sparrow
You got to be a millionaire or some kind of petit-bourgeoisie
Any time you living here in this country
You got to be in skullduggery, making your money illicitly
To live like somebody in this country
It's outrageous and insane, them crazy prices in Port of Spain
And like the merchants going out dey brain
And the working man, like he only toiling in vain.
Where you ever hear, a television for seven thousand
Quarter million for lil piece of land
A pair of sneakers - two hundred dollars
Eighty, ninety thousand for motor cars
At last here in Trinidad, we see capitalism gone mad
It's sad and getting more bad because, doudou, capitalism gone mad!
To provide for your family today on your present salary
Is an impossibility in this country
So many bills to pay, there is no conceivable way
To save for a rainy day in this country
Avariciousness to be precise, is why every damn thing so overpriced
Big business making everybody feel
Government give them an open license to steal.
Would you believe me, one nylon panty is nineteen ninety
Twenty dollars for some baby milk
The cheapest jersey cost over sixty
Two hundred and change a yard for silk
It hard here in Trinidad, lord have mercy, capitalism gone mad
It's sad, things getting more bad, oh lord, capitalism gone mad!
To buy a pack of cigarette does leave you with a hole in your wallet
And money is so hard to get in this country
Necessity or luxuries, it doesn't matter what the item is
They charging anything they please in this country
Primary school books prices lewd
Is highway robbery, the price of food
All hopes and dreams elude the poor man
But politicians still expect good work attitude.
Just imagine this, the cheapest coffin over three thousand
Not even dying today easy
Thousands of dollars for the undertakers
So you could get a spot in the cemetery
It hard here in Trinidad, oh lord, capitalism gone mad
The gladness that once we had is gone because capitalism gone mad!
You got to have heavy contact, know how to move up in society
To make any kind of impact in this country
You got to know how to gyp the field
How to scheme and swindle properly
Perfect the art of wheel and deal in this country
I say, survival in this land isn't easy for no man
With unemployment and high inflation
Some of we go dead before the end of this recession.
Wey de hell is dis, a Mango Julie costing three fifty
Forty dollars for one watermelon
Half your salary for fish, meat and poultry
Time you buy greens all your money done.
It hard here in Trinidad, lord, have mercy, capitalism gone mad
It sad and getting more hard, put a hand, lord, capitalism gone mad!
Boring???
And also know your enemy was a no 1 single in the UK a few years ago because of a viral internet campaign. 90s music doesnt get more hip and current than that.

The Coup is fucking awesome. First line of the first song on their first album is "Ey Presto, read the Communist Manifesto."
This exist. The rest doesn't matter.
There's a leftist rapper named JPEGMAFIA who's getting a lot of attention as of late
jpegmafia.bandcamp.com
A lot of people are calling Veteran AOTY, I'd recommend you check it out. Leftist message, great production, high energy. Good act
Give me a fucking brake, there is also nothing leftist about him.
He just spouting the same basic American negro points that everyone with colored skin who does rap needs to say to sound deep.
Plus he's a death grips and saul williams ripoff.
fuck off brainlet
also
"3rd Reich nigga I’m Stalin
Curb stomp all my opponents"
Literally the title of the first project
Grow the fuck up. What the fuck does this even mean? So I can name drop someone and this would make my music "leftist" or add proletarian cred? Neck yourself.
Bet you though Jay Z 4:44 was class conscious
Also this guy is just stupid glitchy saul williams

say what you will about NOFX but i really liked the 18 minute single "the decline" when i was younger. it's a little edgy but it's, well, true.
