Man I just cant stop thinking about drones and how these things will enable the worst form of fascists and reactionaries in all of history.
Think about it, drone is quite literally the perfect enabler of… neo feudalism basically, of everything anti leftist. It works like a drone, fights like a drone, absolute 0 class conscious, will defend its masters to death. We are all just basically waiting for a private corporations to master robotics and (ab)use them for personal profiteering. They will slowly buy out all land, all resources, everything. They will be 100% self sufficient. They wont need markets. They will have drone soldiers defending their ever increasing private properties, and drone workers will labor all consumer products for their private, personal use.
Blue collar working class is to busy working to develop robotics of its own. Leftist academia/intellectuals are fucking useless. Name one useful thing they have lately done; pro tip you cant. They couldnt even achieve class consciousness. Leftist sects run all of academia except the one that matters, technical one that is dominating our military and economy and basically everything now.
Robocorporations will live in luxury running all the economy and military of nations, and the rest of humanity will live in the slums, marginalized into extermination. They would not only have the capacity to wipe out the working class, they would also not need the masses anymore because their drones can do better everything the masses can do.
you sure tho? ive been looking into what these thingies can do, and its not just military and industrial application, these things can do your taxes (accountants eliminated), write music, news articles, learn to identify and map human faces in a crowd in a milisecond and so on
and who is developing all this shit? socialists? nah fam, its the reactionaries funding and running all this shit, people who are into getting rid of people and taking stuff for themselves and no one else
Brody Thomas
It's pretty easy to attach bombs to UAVs, the people's armies will have plenty of toys to play with too.
Henry Robinson
Also, a substantial guerilla force can appeal to China, Cuba, DPRK, etc. for weapons.
Caleb Harris
The elites are too complacent to use this kind of thing effectively IMO. Just when it's clear they need armies of assassin drones and amoral technicians it will be too late to get them functioning to an acceptable level. I think drones will be like like aircraft in world war 1; very useful and rapidly developed, but not decisive on the battlefield.
Sebastian Green
where are these peoples armies today? china is one of the most capitalistic nations in the world, korea surrendered, cuba sucks so much people living there want to escape
i think what you consider the elites are just the puppets of the actual elites who actually run everything behind the curtains look up fortune 500 companies (the richest ones), they are all amoral technicians constantly getting caught stealing private info etc look up pentagon, 50%+ of the generals have physics degrees look up nsa, 80%+ have math degrees
here's what i think: any moment now, they are going to conclude their testing they are doing in antarctica or who ever the fuck knows where, and suddenly and out of nowhere wipe us all out without a warning with their radio silent subs or who knows fucking what and after that, they will run their technologically advanced neo feudalism, with drone peasants that will never revolt
Wyatt Morris
You're not even trying to hide the fact that you're a defeatist shill fuck off
Jackson Wright
you are not even trying to hide the fact that reality is defeatist, that i negated your sage, and that they managed to circumvent the proleteriat completely
the ONLY solution is for us to develop these technologies BEFORE they do and use them for benefit of all, but I dont know a SINGLE leftist org that is doing anything remotely close to this I see them organizing glorified cat fights on the streets with right useful idiots over pronouns
we are all distracted while the actual elite is researching and developing our doom
Dylan Harris
just type in "modern prosthetics" in youtube and see this shit for yourself you have paraplegics climbing mt. everest and so on, beating pro athletes at their sports and whatnot no man those are just eye candy demonstrations, people actually funding and developing this shit is DARPA they are private military research organization interested in killing people
Jackson Campbell
That's gonna happen no matter what, read Nick Land.
Ayden Cooper
but how is all of us and other 99.99% of population dying a good thing? nick land is too meme-y for me to read but yeah basically i summed up his philosophy itt in a few short posts and he doesnt seem to have any solution and neither do i or anyone else
I met a veteran with 1 arm and 1 leg hiking the Appalachian trail in 2015 He had some modest gibs from getting blown up in some sandy country, but no DARPA money great guy, wish I had kept up with him
Isaac Garcia
I, for one, welcome our potential robo-comrades.
Jackson Jones
Flashy technology for marketing purposes is one thing, actual effective weapons that are cheap and reliable enough to be used in large numbers are another. Global elites aren't plotting to establish techno feudalism because there is no need. They make money and exert control just fine as it is.
Bentley Adams
read marx you stupid brainlet
Michael Bailey
only reason you are not seeing this shit in active use is because the cost of revealing latest tech is greater than the benefit of defeating irrelevant enemies which is why there are reports of latest drones being used to kill al qaeda by cia because the whole thing was covert there is always permanent existential need to increase your control with these types, people who develop weapons see everyone as enemies, they are psychotic stemfags
but these robo'comrades' will make you think stuffing people into ovens during the 40ies was family friendly amusement park
they are the porky behind the porkies
Alexander Hernandez
is OP the same dude who posted that milk thread
Colton Hall
These kind of weapons have been around since the 1940s. The idea they'll be roaming the streets shooting people is pretty laughable. Defense contractors can't even get the F-35 to work right.
In 2020 I think there will be a singularity but not an AI one, a labor one. I think were hitting the limits of what wage labor can produce. I read some where that a single car takes 100 million man hours to make when things like distribution and marketing are taken into account. I bet you a weak AI, something as smart as say a cockroach, probably takes 100s of billions of man hours to produce. AI is going to require some kind of open source model to be produced effectively, every AI project save a handful like automatic fruit pickers, falls flat on its face, and even successful ai still needs tons of human labor to work correctly. I kinda already see this in really big software projects like OSes. Where private companies cannot produce a more robust OS than the public can.
Cooper Hughes
Lol no, I've followed military procurement for many years and much of the stuff just doesn't work.
Bentley Reed
Oh god it's the brainlet who was anally anguished over philosophy of science again. Deep insights inbound…
Noah Bailey
is this a "the evil robots will kill us so don't bother trying to fight back" thread most of this shit doesn't even work yet
but because of your pic related, instead of 90% of the population being farmers we are now societies where only 0.1% of the population are farmers which proves my fucking point back in the day literally everyone and their 15 underage children used to be a farmer and if you couldnt grow it you couldnt eat it
farming is an excellent example of what im saying: few mega corporations already did monopolized all of farming you can buy in a supermarket, lone farmers can no longer compete with commercial ultrafarms, you literally can not be competitive unless you have 50 million $ in machinery and industrial fertilizers and shit ton of land on the day 1
Adam Murphy
Don't you have your fifty bicycles to ride or something milkshill?
Brody Reed
what are you even talking about? are you a schizo? do you hear voices? are you seeing things that are not there?
because of my pic related, people working at farms are proles like (you) or (me), not peasants. I do not see how does it proves your point. There were also times when people had to hunt and gather wild food in order to survive, but how is it relevant? Well, this is not entirely true, EU for example offer lot's of subsidies even to smaller farmers in order to create lot's of kulaks because they are apparently more reliable in hard times than corporations. But let's say this would really happen and a few corporations would own all land in the world, there would still be no food on table of said corporation owner without hard, honest, prole labour. And bourg has no comfort if he do not have hundread proles doing all he wants and dozen of policemen protecting """his""" property. Not to mention that in order for automatization to kick in hard, you must have well organized labourers and strong labour laws, so it would be more profitable to buy those machines and invest so much into research. I can't really imagine that such high degree of development is even possible in capitalist society.
How many !an hours do you think it takes for a car to go from drawing board to being parked in your garage you lead poisoned brainlet. Let's make it easy, how many sub contractor do you think someone like GM has supporting them?
James Rivera
hours =/= man hours if you want a fucking car, you press a fucking button
ford europe just tweeted they make 2000 cars per hour you utter fucking imbecile 2000 cars an hour 2000 cars single fucking hour look it up yourself they made the tweet today i think to make fun of elon musk who makes 1000 cars a day
which brings me back to the fucking thread where we talk about the machines doing all the labor in the first place you are one uniquely fucking retarded guy you know that?
top kek brainlet. Where is design, raw materials, transportation and so on in your equation? If 1 car takes 100mil hours to produce, producing 2000 cars doesn't mean that it will take 2000*100mil hours., it would take 100mil + x hours, where x is your 1 hour + y hours required to get raw materials.
David Cooper
Robots are the real proletarians, we would do best siding with them when when the revolution comes.
Evan Cook
but why would robots side with us, if they get developed by the porky who will use them to wipe us out?
Blake Peterson
...
Cameron Garcia
Economies of scale doesn't reduce the aggregate number of man hours required to produce something you turd slurping menstruation stain.
Jordan Perez
look up fortune 500 richest 500 companies almost all tech companies where ceos have stem degrees
you are the one steeped in ideology if you think 19th century model of economy is in place where old money types just own things and collect from the labor masses in reality there are almost no old money companies out there, there is great social mobility, and the richest companies are tiny and the owners there ARE the workers
Cooper Carter
The ideology is strong with this one.
Jackson Barnes
automating labor absolutely does reduces required man hours how is this hard for you to grasp? cutting down a tree with a chain saw reduces your time to cut down a tree from using a manual saw see? no even need for economy of scale, you calling up irrelevant economic terms just shows you know nothing about economy
do you need real life examples or something? cos i could copy paste a list whole post long and you would probably already hear about most of them anyway
Brody Barnes
How hard is it to grap that robots, building and other MoPs don't operate and build themselves What an idiot, there's almost no limit to how much you can refine goods. No one I know has all wood furniture carved using chainsaws. The value of US economy is valued into the trillions, tell me how much of that is owned by CEOs.
Kevin Allen
Fuck off boyo
Ian Morales
Basically this.
Why do you think no country is using them as their main frontline troops already if they were effective? Spoofers, and even harder to prevent, signal jammers will make these innefective until they are actually autonomous unlike the RC cars you have in your picture which we've had the technology to build for half a century.
If people capture a drone and have reasonable tech resources, they could learn a lot more about their enemy's forces than if they had captured a human soldier. They could find weaknesses and use the captured hardware as a test subject for viruses and whatnot that could be used to turn the robots against each other or their masters.
the human race perpetuates suffering, and is harmful to nature there is no hope for the future, we are in late stage liberalism, enjoy the fun while it lasts
Jackson Reed
Historical materialism and its dialectics will see the elimination of proletarians and not the other way around. The ruling class will live in a fully automated classless society after the proletarians have been exterminated. There will be communism but just not the way we wanted it.
