OH NO NO NO!

>s-she wasn't that rich!
DAMAGE CONTROL!

What is there to damage control?
I'm not the privilege checking lifestylist apparently you are

Okay.

petite-bourgeois refers to one who owns means of production yet must still sell their labor. It's not a category based on how much wealth you have. In an extreme and unlikely case, a person earning 100 million out of their salary is proletarian (as long as they don't invest that money in MOP) while a small business owner worth 10 million is petite bourgeois.

I don't hate the petty bourgeoisie, I just recognize that their interests are opposed to my own. However if any of them grow a conscience and decide to oppose their own selfish interests for the good of the majority then why would I not accept them?

When you campaign as muh poor kid from the Bronx and it turns out you were never poor, were middle class, and your main connection with the Bronx is that your father commuted there, it sort of makes you a liar.

…and you support them as soon as they claim to be poor. Likely because you yourself were never poor.

She owned a pretty nice home in a rich neighborhood. She's not poor. She was never poor.

Holy shit, that is some MAJOR cognitive dissonance.

I too used to live in one of the richest counties in the country. In a trailer park down the road from a McMansion development. A few ultra rich people driving up the average wealth of the county did not make my family less poor.

There are 2 kinds of people; The rich & the poor
That means poor capitalists exists.

What does she owns? How un-dialectical of you.

If I were to support Cortez, or anybody else, then it would be because I like their politics and their platform, and absolutely nothing to do with their personal lives. I know you are desperately trying to scrape a "gotcha" out of this, but the fact is that most of us just don't care whether she is petty bourg or not.
