fuck man, didn't see the label in the second image
it's the aesthetic I was going for

Our elites are more out of touch and delusional by the day. They actually think their bought and paid for media means shit to anyone, that their robotic politicians have any credibility, that permanent recession and austerity are sustainable as long as they stonewall the opposition. They believe their own propaganda, thinking they've won a victory by clinging to power when they're really surrounded in enemy territory with winter (the next recession) closing in.

I guess I'll post this here since I hadn't gotten the opportunity. I had recently gone to a sort of socialist camp, and one of the discussion group pointed out a sort of mindset, an approach to one's politics (and even daily life) that I thought was interesting because it reminded me of stuff I had heard in church (not in a bad way). In my church, they taught us that we should prioritize things in our life thusly: God -> Others -> Self, which you might translate today to Purpose -> Others -> Self. This works because it's largely in reverse order of what we might do intuitively, especially in our hyper-individualistic, atomized society.

First, you should think about and, if you can, try to advance a greater purpose. For us, the purpose is socialism, and an example of a daily activities that advance this might be reading a bit of theory, organizing study groups, organizing protests and events, keeping on top of current events in your local community and the world, etc.

Second, think of others. Have you stayed in touch with your comrades? Ask them if they want to have a beer or if they need any personal help outside of politics. Try to participate in your community and create connections, friendships and solidarity with other people in a way that's more than just political.

Finally, think about and take care of yourself. This isn't a mantra of selflessness, merely a way of approaching and prioritizing daily activities. Don't get burnt out, take time for yourself.

I've found this can help a lot, and improve not just your political organizing, but your whole outlook on life.

Don't forget that 51% of burger millennials don't support capitalism (and that was over a year ago), so the US is moving left.

W/r/t the implosion o the American reactionary right, the two major protests of theirs in August (Portland on the 4th, Unite the Right 2 in DC on the 12th) I think will really determine their organizational ability in the seeable future. The right gets a surprising amount of morale from these rallies, despite being outnumbered considerably most of the time, and are painting the DC event as some sort of "epic final own to the libs". If it's sufficiently embarrassing, I imagine that a lot of the people who actually show up to these LARPs, mostly petit-bourgeois in their early 30s, will be pretty disillusioned by their leadership, causing even more internal disputes and so on. I'd like nothing more than the Proud Boys going the way of the Traditional Worker's Party.

Rolled 2 (1d6)
Burger millennials should stop voting gapitalism then

Cynicism is my only source of happiness in this horrid existence. Optimism just leads to disappointment and sadness.

I just love soviet space propaganda.
So full of hope and vision.

UTR 2 is going to largely be a no show / wet fart I think for the alt-right. Few neo-Nazis want anything to do with Jason Kessler.

The crowd going to Portland is different. A bit older. It will be much bigger. A few Nazis in the bunch though most are like "radicalized pro-Trump people" I guess you could say. They really are in a different category. This is one of the organizers of this kind of thing in TX who is traveling there and talking about how "blood will be shed" and going to "war" and other deranged stuff. The thing is, it wouldn't be her doing it – women are often agitators who get the men to do it. It would not surprise me if they end up killing somebody.

The same people are also trying to create a "National March Against Leftist Violence" for Aug. 18 I believe:

And some of these events are already attracting neo-Nazis saying they're "going" on FB. You can just go to the event and click on the list of people who are "going." I know who one of them is and he's a white-power organizer who came out of the racist skinhead scene and is tied up with neo-Nazi gangs in Texas.

While concerning as that may seem, the thing is – what's the political objective of these rallies? Antifa isn't for anything it's just "anti-fascism" which would objectively make these MAGAs pro-fascism, but they're just acting as a "anti-antifa." They're against something which is a negative. So it's a negation of a negation. Is it to support Joey Gibson's methed-out and doomed Senate campaign in "solid blue" Washington?

What I like about these Portland antifa people is that they're serving as a lightning rod to these guys and really deserve kudos for that. (It's a strained metaphor because lightning rods don't actually attract lightning. Or maybe "bug zapper" would be better.) Point being these MAGA lunatics, while buffoonish, can cause problems and that they're so busy chasing kids in black hoodies in Portland means they've got something to occupy their attention (and money since these people are spending thousands of dollars to do this) instead of causing problems elsewhere – or even doing the critically necessary task of supporting Republicans in the midterm elections. These are hardcore Trump fanatics and they're not doing any of that.

Bump.
Found myself a collection of lenin's works. Feels good man.

Problem is, most American millienials don't know what "Socialism" actually means. I myself used to think it was just radical social democracy till I read Cockshott.

Criticism of capitalism is nice, but you guys really ought to emphasize the fundamental aspects of your theory (like Labor Vouchers and Decentralized Planning) if you want it to be successful. That's what I've been doing, anyways.

This may be a bit anecdotal, but going to some of the Post-SSRs I can say that socialism or at least the Soviet Model is still popular. Especially among the old people, but even in some of the young. I think people in the USSR had security at least, I think the only critic they had is the alienating party structure. So, in general, I think the idea of socialism is popular. If you look at the post-SSR countries you can see that now that they had capitalism they are even worse off and they realize that. Even in of the revolutions of these countries they had to use leftist rhetoric to get to people. So I believe the potential of socialism is not dead even in those countries, on the contrary actually.

I FINALLY FOUND IT.

Honestly the prospect of a genuinely socialist Labour government gives me hope: I can feel it in my fingers, we are on the verge of something big.

Stop it user, you're making me feel sad feels.

The greens and socialists in my welfare country recently started going hard on common ownership and worker control. I had almost completely written them off.
