Protip: if you don't know the politics of a country and the specifics of its factions and parties, don't jump to fucking conclusions.
The dumbest thing a leftist can do after the last 10 years is to assume a mass protest is inherently a good thing because "oh it's the people against the system! so cool!", when in reality so many of them had been organized and manipulated by media conglomerates, oligarchs, local religious and community leaders and possibly foreign agencies.
Even the idea that they're fighting corruption, which looks like a no-brainer, shouldn't be seen one-dimensionally, because that issue too can be manipulated and politicized - look at Brazil.

Sure but isn't the current Haitian government a racketeering operation for NGOs, the US, and Haiti's comprador class? Even if say, a weak liberation theology social democrat comes to power at the end of this, it's still a step forward. Even if that doesn't happen the Haitian working class acting and knowing that it does, indeed, have power is still a good thing.

Haitians are spooked as fuck about religion, race and they are surprisingly right wing. Because of that class consciousness isn't coming any time soon for them. I hope I am wrong this is my hot take as a second gen. They are however proud as fuck about the revolution and will not hesitate for another one. However, them being the poorest country in the western hemisphere means they have almost no means to defend themselves.

Haiti can join the axis of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia to defend itself, Mikhail Bakunin said beware of small states, I would add beware of coalitions of small states even more. Remember they had to coup Aristide out of power because they couldn't beat him at the ballot box. Liberation theology already has a foothold in the country, class consciousness will naturally follow assuming there isn't a third Duvalier waiting in the shadows to crush it.
