Life during the Soviet golden age was far superior to the American/European insanity at that time. You had a more effective transport system, a more effective system of providing food, safer streets, and even a military that only was really inferior when it came to nukes.

Land around the equator is set to become significantly more inhabitable, and those people aren't going to just sit down and burn up, they'll migrate to more survivable climes, hundreds of millions moving to a land that can maybe support them. The people of those lands are not going to take said migration easily, so there's also significant conflict right there, something that often turns into racial conflict. The arable land is going to change, so previous farmland will have dried up, like California is at this moment. Starvation and disease is not far off, and with that strain so too increases the likelihood of war, as fundamental resources are now more scarce. The ocean also takes the brunt of the temperature change, so an absolutely horrific amount of marine life will die, being taken over by algae, and turn acidic. That has huge ramifications.
If you actually have legitimate evidence against this, I'm all ears, because this is heavy shit that's kept me up at night.
