Fascist Appropriation of Socialist Iconography and Rhetoric

I'm working on a project on how fascists (historical and modern) co-opt and appropriate socialist imagery and rhetoric.

ITT post images, info, links to text, etc about this topic.

It's not just fascists, counterrevolutionaries going all the way back to Edmund Burke appropriated revolutionary language and aesthetics for their own ends. PDF related.

I know the falanges took a lot of their stuff from leftist syndicalistsm. If anyone has some lit on this it would be appreciated.

Anyone know who used the arm band first? I had thought that the soviets used them but it looks like that's just a movie trope.

I’m pretty angry that armbands are associated with fascists. I love the look of good armbands but unironically wearing them will make you look like a caricature

"We chose red for our posters after careful deliberation, our intention
being to irritate the Left, so as to arouse their attention and tempt them to come to our meetings" - Hitler, Mein Kampf

armbands are only associated with fascism in the mind of absolute brainwashed children. they are still totally acceptable.

Although not leftist in its origin, why did pink Floyd use the two hammers and cog for Nazis which they then appropriated?

wut?

He's talking about the insignia of the fascists from The Wall.

Wtf did he mean by this? The sentence as a whole is incoherent

iirc, the "greater East Asian coprosperity sphere" was originally proposed by a Japanese Marxist.

I've been using this image to try and rally men against females, it's pretty cool

...

Yeah the question is incoherent but hammers were co-opted by the Hammerskins, a neo-Nazi skinhead gang that sprouted from Dallas in the late 1980s.
