Thread started with tripfiends, thus thread continued on that note. I have been curious about what this board was like pre-Gamergate exodus. My impression is that it had a closer connection to Getchan.
There was also Hoxhaposter / Sam Williams gang here at one point. Miss him, he was one of the few people to make / contribute to economics threads. Speaking of which, we haven't had one of those in forever.

The ties to GetChan didn't cultivate until way after the Gamergate-exodus. Infact, as far as I remember, the board didn't even exist until shortly before the exodus, and indeed a lot of early Zig Forums revolved around a leftist interpretation of GG. Indeed, it was naive and chaotic, but it evolved into pretty hard post-capitalist leftism in the early day, and liberals were purged from day 1.
So what is the board opinion of GG today? a movement turned reactionary by the media or still a cause worth fighting for?

The absolute best meme thread we have had on this board was that one where literally everyone started posting as Afroplasm and calling each other imposters. Don't remember what the actual thread topic was. Good times.
Initially I supported it, because I bought the red herring. I legitimately thought it was about a criticism of media colluding with the indusstry it was supposed to regulate (the GameJournosPro scandal) and so I would defend it online and to my friends.
I sincerily regret that. I was duped. The outrage at GJP was only window-dressing. The whole thing was about attacking people that were "encroaching" upon the territory of white masculinity and had to be silenced and harrassed. I really hoped it was more, but it was only at the very end that I finally realized that the average GG'er was just a pollack that had found a smokescreen.
So no, I don't have any sympathy for GG today.

Howard Scott was, as he put it, not a leftist, but a technocrat. I couldn't agree more with him, but we tolerated him better than Zig Forums or /liberty/ would and there's one or two parallels so he stuck around. I don't think he really shows his flag or name unless he wants to outright speak about technocracy. the BN was afroplasm, but I don't know if he was black nationalist or just pan-africanism, didn't have particularly memorable posts, probably realized that and now posts anonymously. Yui, I think, abandoned us for twitter. Bat'ko lurks to get material for his meme channel on Youtube. You answered your own question about kierkgard dude (Rebel Absurdity). AW left after making a thread about how he was sorry for being the most obnoxious psued around while critiquing everything and proposing nothing, mentioned something about a discord server if anyone wanted to discuss Hegel. Naziposter still shows up. And I think Hoochiemin either posts anonymously and less frequently now, but I recall hearing about her gaining vol status, don't know about the veracity of that claim, but if so, it would be un-modly of her to continue her tripfaggotry. The true flames of Zig Forums are the anonymous posters though.

As for me, I just eventually stopped namefagging and I only sometimes post with this flag anymore. It's slightly less fun without having as many Zig Forumsacks around to freak out about it.

This is just getting duped in a different way. Nagle's account of it in Kill All Normies is relatively balanced. There was a lot of outrage centered around the industry as a whole beforehand which consummated itself in the conflagration of Gamergate. Nagle's account, and most others, do elide the bizarre censorship that created a kind of Streisand effect around the original sex-for-review outrage. It would not have exploded without that.
The main problem I found with it is that it did center around a sex panic, although a lot of activism on the left and right has revolved around moral and sex panics. That problem reflects American political culture as a whole rather than Gamergate specifically.
