I used to browse Zig Forums for a while, not out of spite of the leftboard owner but idk. It's slower, generally not that much better than leftypol. Both boards are generally very confused as to theory (except for a few specific posters) but at least leftypol bans blatant reactionaries.
Nazbol memes created leftpol the same way "the jews did it" meme created Zig Forums.

I think Zig Forums is where people banned from leftypol end up and seem to hold some kind of grudge against admins.
While you can certainly argue that, I'm 100% sure the fascist subversion of Zig Forums was a conscious effort by Zig Forums. Remember how we used NazBol memes to subvert Zig Forums? Turns out you can use that meme the other way around too.

The problem with a penal colony board is that while a few genuinely mistreated users who got banned for the wrong things might want to have a place to vent, 90% of the bans here are actually trashy people who will quickly infest such a board.

Serious or not, every split from Zig Forums, even if it's just a board consisting of 4-5 users, gets immediately shit up by Zig Forums, usually by posting gore or animal abuse. Ismail has stated that he had to restrict /marx/ by allowing only one thread per hour, and /marx/ barely has 10 users.

People seem to think politics is a matter of sliders with a limited number of points to allocate. Like, if you take too much interest into feminism, then your "materialist" class-based analysis will suffer and you'll end up arguing feminism is when half the CEOs are female or some dumb shit like that.
I say this is blatantly wrong for many reasons. First of all, there are such things are radical feminism or materialist feminism that absolutely do take class-based analysis into account and do not aim to replace that with gender-based analysis.
But more importantly, many women are being taught by the patriarcal structures (im a male, born male, whatever) that they're not able to think. There is something called symbolic violence (read bourdieu) that applies through both class relations and gendered socialization. Feminism will empower female comrades & also debunk remnants of patriarcal ideology holding us down. I'm actually glad I get to exchange with dedicated & involved feminists and they are actually very well-read on Marxist theory (even directly reading Das Kapital for a few of them)
